Can't get BWV SV studio at 11 months?

I was so bummed when I called MS this morning to add 3 more days on our Dec 2011 trip and they have no SV studios left at BWV. I took boardwalk view but really wanted SV for the last 3 days.

Is this something I would waitlist? And what do you think the chances would be.

I'd waitlist. December is a long way's away and folks plans change. I think you have a good chance getting what you want.

I would definitely waitlist. I was worried about this myself, and my husband thought I was crazy thinking I wouldn't get SV at 11 months. We called this morning for two SV studios from December 18-24. I was able to get both right at 9:00. What time did you call?

I definitely think many people may change plans or try to switch resorts at 7 months, so getting your waitlist early is a great idea. Good luck!

your heading saying you can't get BWV at 11 months got me. You actually did get BWV.

Aw man! You have me worried now We passed ROFR on the 23rd of Dec (I think), and were supposed to close on the 11th of Jan (should've happened sooner). We still haven't closed and I'm getting worried about getting our room!!

I tried to get a BLT 1BR MK View yesterday at the 11 month mark - also was gone. Like you I couldn't call first thing in the AM (for me because of work.) I booked a Lake View and waitlisted. I was kind of hesitant about the extra points for MK view anyway...so I'll be okay no matter what. But you should definitely waitlist too. I think that lots of people will be trying to switch reservations at the 7 months mark.

If made at 11 months, you can ALWAYS (guaranteed) get days added on to an existing reservation if you call one day prior to the 11-month mark from the first of the add-on days. (No one else can reserve "your" unit until 11 months prior to your check-out day.)

No, this trip we decided to do 7 days at SSR then move to BWV for an extra 3 nights. My first split and it isn't going as planned (insert foul word)

I will be on the phone first thing in the morning for my waitlist!!

Bobbi - That's not unusual. The Standard view rooms for December almost always book solid on the first day. Studios especially go very, very quickly.

But as noted, there was no issue getting a pool/garden villa and the OP could even have booked a Boardwalk view at the time she called.

Definitely wait list. You will be at the top of the list.
I ran into BLT Studio Standard views booking up at 11 months this week also. We changed our dates slightly to get one a day later and changed our travel plans. The MS rep said we got the last standard view there.
