Day 1 - I know it isn't Disney, but our trip always starts off with a visit to Hemingway's in the Grand Cypress Hyatt. Their seafood is great, the best coconut shrimp I've ever had.
Day 2 - Breakfast at Yacht Club galley - Had good service, and a good omelot - cheese, ham onion, very tasty. The french toast was okay, could have been a little hotter.
Dinner - Le Cellier - It was great! We are picky eaters near Chicago, but the Cellier filet with mushroom risotto was wonderful. DS had a NY strip, and loved it, with wild mushrooms on the side. The pretzel breadsticks were very tasty. Too hot to try the cheddar soup, and way too full to do dessert.
(My 14 yr old son almost always had chicken fingers or cheeseburgers throughout the whole trip. They were nice enough to never make fun)
Later ate a chocolate chip cookie at the Main Street Bakery in MK - very good. DS had cheesecake with strawberries in syrup over the top. He liked it a lot.
Can't believe it, but we shared a brownie a la mode at Beaches and Cream at almost midnight. These are huge, you need at least 2 people to scarf it down. (We did)
Day 3 - Breakfast at Spoodles- omelots were pretty good again, not much different than at Yacht Club galley. I had the french toast with banana brittle - the brittle consisted of semicooked or warmed banana slices with almonds. I pushed that to the side, and had a bite now and then. Not bad.
Dinner - Mama Melrose as part of Fantasmic package. Now I ate here 3 yrs ago, and loved it. DS ordered another steak, but it was thin, kind of tough, not very good. I had the oven roasted chicken stuffed with spinach over risotto. This was poor. The chicken had a crusty, hard outer skin, and very little flavor. We skipped dessert.
