Hubby wants to take a trip out west this summer! He said I know you will want to include time at Disneyland...so start looking into it! Woohoo!

So here is what I need from you all...what is your favorite non-Disney hotel within walking distance to Disneyland?

What else have you done on your trips to Cali?

Thanks!

Courtyard by Marriott is the nicest off site close hotel IMO. Fairfield Inn on Harbor or Holiday Inn on S. Walnut are my next go to for off site options.

I agree with ParkHopper1 that my favorite "within walking distance" hotel is the relatively new Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance. It's a hotel (opposed to a motel), with a pretty nice water park. The only drawback is that it is on the pricey side. For that reason, my family usually opts to stay at the Best Western Park Place Inn & Mini-Suites. The BWPPI is a motel and there isn't anything really great about it (by the same token, there hasn't been anything really awful either). The biggest thing going for the BWPPI is the location (it's right across the street from the Harbor Blvd pedestrian entrance).

Our normal go to has been Howard Johnson Anaheim hotel and water playground. Though we are only two adults they have the BEST beds we've found and a short walk , a hotel with indoor corridors and we always book the premium view rooms for a great look towards Disneyland.

I do agree with Figment above the best newest and closest but can't justify the high cost when we don't need the family type suites there. But it looks awesome!

We're to DL next summer too! We usually stay at the Best Western Park Place. Free hot breakfast and a 5 minute walk to the bag check stations. It's nothing special but we only sleep there so it's good enough for us. The pool is pretty small if you're swimmers (we aren't) but we really appreciate that short walk after a long day in the parks!

Park Vue Inn. It is just a motel, but the room was very clean, the beds comfortable, it's right across the street from Disneyland, has a decent continental breakfast, and is one of the only hotels around without a parking fee.
