Can't avoid EMH - advice?

I only have one day with my two sisters to experience the magic and it's a Thursday. Everyone says avoid MK on thurs, UG says it will be best to stay away from MK on the day we'll be there but how can we not do MK if we only have one day? It is an EMH day too and we're off-site...
Our last family vacation was perfect because I followed everyone's tips but can't follow the plan this time...

any suggestions?

I've spent way too much time pouring over everyone's posts, pictures, comments - but the planning and anticipation are all part of the experience! thanks for raising the excitement even if it's just for a day!!

I would do Epcot, It will be a little less crowded and more of an adult park, with the great food & drink choices and really is educational. Seems a little more laid back to me than MK. Have a great "family" time!

Well if your heart is set on MK, then do it! Just go first thing in the morning (at rope drop!) and then utilize the fast passes. If you are prepared to face crowds, then you can be in the right frame of mind. Even a crowded day at MK can be fun!

Even though you are going against everything guide books stand for... you can still take their tips. Be there at rope drop, eat your meals at off times, use fast passes as often as possible, and try and hit some of the rides during the parades and doing your shopping as the park is closing...don't waste park time. Make any ADR's now to avoid longer than desired waits.

I guess if you wanna go to the extreme you could wear "Depends" underwear so you can skip long lines in the rest room. KIDDING!

I love it! Thanks for the laugh! Is there a thread here about "best bathrooms?" 'cuz I have no bladder capacity so even Depends won't help.

One of my sisters just reminded me that it was "vacation" and "wouldn't we be sleeping in?"....she won't be happy with my answer

I like the Epcot idea - I was lobbying for a day there on Friday but we couldn't fit it in. But I don't know if I would survive not doing MK if I was that close....

I like your can do attitude! Waiting in line won't be bad with sisters as we'll have tons to talk about, compared to keeping impatient children happy...

Is there info somewhere on the route so we can avoid that? I remember trying to find something warm to eat last time cuz we got so cold while we were waiting and it was a madhouse to get thru folks.
