does any one know if i put pop cans in my suite case that goes in the belly of the plan would pop or would it be ok

Carbonization and unpressurized high altitude is a combination that's probably as destructive as handguns and tequila.![]()
Fortunately a lot of luggage compartments are pressurized just like the main cabin.
They often are, but not to sea level or its equivalent. Cabins and luggage holds are pressurized to a level somewhere between 6,000 and 8,000 ft. typically. The decreased pressure can make lots of things pop... like ears!![]()
I usually put cans in a zip lock bag in case mis-handling causes a leak. I have traveled many times with drink cans in my luggage (with and without zip-lock protection) and have never had a leak or breakage.
Cans do not pop open at 8,000 feet. Cans are in the cabin for passenger service and the luggage holds are pressurized the same as the cabin.
And it's still not a good idea![]()
