Buydig is very reputable, if you find prices online lower than Buydig I would use caution.


The XSi is brand new, I doubt you will see the price drop much b4 XMAS and even if it does you will still have to pay sales tax. Buydig does not charge sales tax in most states, free shipping too.

EDIT, my mistake the XSi was released in JAN, the XS is brand new. IMO you may some price drops, but not large IMO

Thanks so much for your advice. I just went to a shopping cart site, and it listed places like wilddigital.com 15-55 $532; lensesnmore 28-80 $539; cameraaddict.com 18-55 $542. I have NEVER heard of any of these, and was very skeptical. Thanks for your response.

If you buy either, get the 18-55. But if you were planing to buy a better lens skip both and use that money towards a better lens.

That's a good price. They started at $899 when they first came out. I got mine in February at 10% off the price with a Circuit City Coupon. The retail price is now $799 so it's already come down $100.

I'd go ahead and get it with the 18-55 IS lens as that's a great value for only $130. That's about $20 cheaper than buying the lens by itself and you need a good walkaround lens anyway. It's a good value for the money. Get the black! Looks much better IMO.

You might check out adorama.com for a good deal if you need other accessories. They also don't usually charge sales tax.

Costco has it for around $950 that includes the 55-250 IS zoom lens, 18-55 IS lens, Canon camera bag, etc...
