Canon SX100IS

Does anyone have this camera? Any opinions? Another big zoom(10x) p&s I'm looking at for a friend going on safari.

Looks like a nice camera, except, like the Panasonic I mentioned before, no optical viewfinder. Some people may not mind that, but it sure makes it harder to keep steady for long zooms. Other than that it looks good to me.

I have it, it's a very nice camera. I let my son use it on his recent trip to Europe and the quality of his pictures were better than most of his friend's pictures.

I find it easy to use and the extra zoom is considerable, my old camera was only a 3x zoom.
