Canon Loyalty Program

Has anyone taken advantage of this program? We called Canon and we can trade in our old AE1-P body and get the Rebel EOS XT for $350.

I didn't know they did that. Epson did a similar thing when my printer died out of warranty.

FWIW the XT is several models back though. Still a great camera. My only complaint was the slow fps sometimes.

$350 for a refurb XT is a bit steep if you ask me. You can get brand new DSLRs for just a little bit more.

You might also want to check Adorama for used and refurb products - I've seen Rebel XT, XTi and even XS kits for between $350 to $450 on occasion..

When I was deciding on which DSLR to purchase I was faced with a tight budget, but decided that the Canon Rebel XTi was the limit to how far "back" I would go because it was the first Rebel to have a sensor dust cleaning system. You might want to give a look at the various system capabilities for the cameras you are considering and see if there is a particular feature that is that important to you.
