yes, looks like a good deal but the 60D was recently available on the CLP program (but not now, maybe because the rumored 70D)

Even on that Canon program my thinking was this was a better deal if someone was looking for this make and model. I thought I remember it to be around $800 for the body only when it was on there.

I have this camera/lens combo and I love it... Seems like a good deal to me. Eventually, everything gets upgraded. Today's "must have" is tomorrow's paper weight. I have an old Sony Mavica that I throw at the cat (I never hit it, though). Great camera and a nice Disney walkaround lens.
