Hi there

I'm looking to take my 8 (almost 9) DS canoeing at WDW this time. He's been doing canoeing at Cub Scouts and loves it and thought we'd try it at WDW for something different.

Can anyone share some experiences/details etc for me?

They have canoes to rent at Ft Wilderness, but you just go down the canal and back.

We live in Michigan and when you go "canoeing" it is an adventure through heavily wooded areas and can be a 1-3 hr trip.

If you just want to go for a short scenic trip down the canal you might enjoy it, but it certainly isn't going to be an all-day adventurous ride.

Having said that, a 9-year old would probably really enjoy it.
