Canjet - Advice please!!

Has anyone ever flown Canjet? Can you share your experiences with me PLEASE? Also, how are they doing financially? After the situation with Jetsgo, I am afraid to book with any airline except SWA.

Used it last week. They are reportedly doing fine. Have picked up more business with Jetsgo gone. Its a no frills airline. Have always found the staff very friendly and helpful.

We flew with Canjet out of Hamilton Airport this past November and was very happy with their service. Again, it's a no frills airline but we got a great rate to MCO and would definately fly with them again.

Canjet is a division of IMP group (Halifax based) and is a large company. They've recently expanded and are flying to western Canada. Don't think there's any reason to believe that they're going the same way as Jetsgone, but they are no frills.

Flown them before and didn't have any problems.

I have flown with Canjet over 30 times in the past year and have always found their service very good. As stated by others, they are definitely no frills, and they occasionally run behind schedule due to their limited fleet. Financially speaking, they appear to be fine and they have not really entered some of the crazy price wars that helped Jetsgo get to where they are now.

We will be flying with them for our first trip on April 10-17 and the great thing about their Halifax to Orlando service is non-stop flights (great for first time flyers like my brood).

Try them out. You won't be disappointed.

what happens if the non-stop YHZ-MCO, Sunday departures, is cancelled because of bad weather?

We're *thinking* about booking with them for our Jan/Feb2006 trip, but weather concerns have us leaning back towards Delta, or AC (STILL NO LUGGAGE!! Can you tell I'm bitter??!! LOL!)

Thanks everyone for the advice. We are booked with Canjet for our trip in November on a direct flight from Ottawa. It was $200 cheaper than Air Canada and I think it leaves earlier than the Air Canada flight

We flew Canjet in Oct. out of Hamiliton, nice small airport, it was great!
I would definitely fly with them again! I found though that prices seem to change weekly, so I waited until the prices were in my range! Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info. everyone. We are considering them for this Dec since they fly into Sarasota airport, which is less then 12 miles from the condo we are renting. There rates are definately higher then SWA out of BUF but I am at the point I just want to book the airfare SOON then I can say that this holiday is finally planned (I already have a condo and car booked).

At least they seem financially sound. That is my main concern.

Canjet seems to be doing quite well...........just steer clear of any airlines that have Michel LeBlanc at the helm of the company (Jetsgo, Canada 3000 etc. etc. etc.)

If you book Canjet and a cheaper fare comes up with them are you able to get a refund?

You can re-book but you have to pay $30 each flight segment penality. Also, when re-booking you can only re-book regular priced fares (not sale fares). So, it would make no sense to re-book.

I feel with Canjet I will pay more then SWA, but I am just anxious to book NOW plus Canjet will get me to my final destination (Sarasota). SWA only flies to TPA and MCO.
