Candy Exchange Sent/Received!!

My Daughter does not ask about it everyday. Her brother has been kind enough to share all his goodies with her. Since that is dwindling quickly, she has asked about her box.Actually she hasnt asked in a couple of days. I suspect once her brothers candy is officially gone she will.
Do my kids mind waiting? Well it probably bothers me,more then them, because they ask me about it. They are with me when we shop for the names we have , they play a big role in picking out the stuff as well.. They are with me when we go to the postoffice to mail them out. I always try to have mine out before the send out date, or on the send out date the latest.But, thats just me.

Yeap, we do the same, they share and shop, go to post office and all that fun stuff.
And we happily wait, but, that just US, i guess!

It all depends on the mail. If it's coming from overseas it could take weeks. I had a package I mailed to the UK last year that took almost 3 months to get there. I mailed my packages out last Fri. One was priority and it's still not there. Both packages were very close to my state

I hope you don't get flame for that, unfortunally we can't control everything we send.
I dropped the 2 kids boxes and the calendar at the post office the same day, one going to Texas, calendar to FL and the other candy to VA. Also a huge box to my sister in Houston (Pasadena TX), her house was flooded and she need it some things, stores were empty there, so I hope her package gets there soon too.

Sorry your daughter is having to wait Jackie, but as you can see by the list she is not alone. Once the sender sends the package, there is not much one can do except wait. Just look at how long it took CinderellaIam's package to arrive 9 DAYS mailed priority mail from CT to NY?? That is craziness......but that is our postal system unfortunately. I know it doesn't make it any easier to explain to a 6 year old why her brother received his package and she didn't ~ I don't have a good answer for you there. I know one DISer that exchanges with her children occasionally has said that her daughter's like to wait until they both receive their packages until they open them ~ maybe next time that would help you out?? I would hate to see you leave exchanges just because the postal system is slow in getting your daughter's package to her??

a big bag of gummy bears (going to the movies with me this weekend)
Giant Kit Kat (might not make it to the movies)
Giant Almond Joy (will go on my short road trip with me tomorrow)
Giant 3 Musketeers (will be shared with a friend who loves those!)
Peanut M&M's (might not make it through the night)
Pecan Bar (confiscated by mother who was visiting)
Hershey Bar (confiscated by mother to give to dad)
2 DOVE Chocolate Bars (these I will save for those special chocolate days)

Glad you liked it! I had a hard time not buying everything on the shelves, as most anything chocolate is my favorite! I know what you mean about the Dove bars...they are my indulgence treats! Enjoy

This box had so many goodies I am sure to forget something!!! Here we go, there was, pixie sticks (lots), smarties (lots), bubblegum, a bag full of the head candy (lemon, cherry, grape...)jar breakers, red hots..., two bags full of mini chocolates (you name it, it's in there), a bag of skittles packs, blow pops, push pop, another bag with now and laters, mint lifesavers, a coloring sticker book, crayons and a glitter swirly bracelet. Let me tell you, this kids is set for the car ride to Disney!
