We are thinking of taking a trip in February and can't decide between these two properties. We are looking at the 2 queen deluxe rooms at each and will need 2 rooms since my parents will be going with us. Our 4yo son and then 6 month old will be in the room with DH and I. It's been a long time since we have stayed at either property. So which would you choose and why? Which one would a pack n play fit in better?

we will be there jan 25th to Feb 9th and after alot of searching & comparing prices etc, we decided on HOJOs. I also just got a Promo code that saved me $650 on our stay at HOJOs.
We have stayed there before back in 2011 and had no issues, loved the location, rooms, service, onsite store & water park.
The only thing is they dont have breakfast included. thats ok we will just have cereal/toast or call into Dennys or Maccas on our way....

Sorry for the ignorance but whats a pack & play?

If the same price, we do CCI, breakfast is good, free shuttle like clockwork, or an easy walk, and they have a $10 gift certificTe good within a year on top of the AAA discount.

Other than that both fine hotels. Ypu may call both and see if either have a pack and play available. I know some hotels there have them in the closets already.

Aussiejen, how did you get such a great promo code? A pack n play is like a portable crib.

As of now both places are about the same price.

We would also pick the Candy Cane Inn (breakfast, shuttle, easy walk, good customer service...)

CandY Cane definitely.

Loved the breakfast, the shuttle is great at the end of the night, and the rooms are a good size. We have both my sister and 7 year old daughter stay in the room with hubby and me and there is plenty of room.

The pack and play can go in the area by the closet.

I have never found the HOJO worth the price unless you are specifically going for the pool. So I would pick Candy Cane unless you have a discount code for HOJO.. I think a pack and play would fit in either.

I have stayed at both. HOJOs rooms are much bigger than CCI. Also their beds are much more comfortable. The shuttle is awesome at CCI and the breakfast, although basic, is welcome. It comes down to what is most important to you. I wouldn't go back to CCI because I found the rooms dark, with nowhere near enough storage, and old (a bit skanky). But my mum would, because she found the shuttle so foot saving!

As I can get a significantly cheaper rate at the Homewood Suites Convention Centre which has full cooked breakfasts, dinner 4 times per week, lovely comfortable rooms and a free shuttle next door at the Toy Story parking lot, my decision is made for me!

Just checking, for the same dates, Hojo's is $194 a night for a deluxe room, Candy Cane is $178 for a deluxe ($208 for a premium), and Homewood Suites Convention Center for a studio is $249. (Since we are Hilton Diamond, they keep upgrading me to a 2 bedroom suite when I am traveling solo, but I never get the upgrade when the kids are with me!) I have never seen Homewood Suites at a significant cheaper rate to the general public. I do like the hotel and have stayed there several times.

I like the Hojo rooms, but the deluxe rooms(350sf) are about the same size as the deluxe rooms (315sf) and premium rooms (360sf) at Candy Cane. (The standard rooms at Candy Cane are smaller (250sf).) I consider the beds about the same. I really like having the Candy Cane deliver the breakfast at the time I request so I don't have to wake everyone early.

We'll be at the CCI for our upcoming trip. My parents will be joining us, so having the shuttle and breakfast delivered at the time they want will make their visit that much easier for them.

We just stayed at HOJO in a 2 Queen Suite. If this option is available it could be less expensive than getting 2 rooms. We had 2 queen beds in one room and a fold out sofa in the other room. We loved that we had 2 full bathrooms and a kitchen area and lots of space. The kitchen area made it very easy to make breakfast in the room. They brought a crib in for our toddler.

We need 2 rooms. My parents both snore... really loudly!

Also if your parents are AARP members, HOJO offers a discount.
We also have AAA, so we get the discount. :)
