Does anyone have any current intel on Candy Cane Inn? I thought they were supposed to reopen this summer. I’ve loved my stays there!

Their insta is saying October now. Originally it was august. Hoping they are done by October. They are basically renovating the entire hotel. Can’t wait to see what it looks like then they’re done! They post often on Instagram if you want to follow them.

When I have plugged in tentative dates on their website, the earliest available dates seem to be mid October.

Having driven and walked by several times, they are doing a LOT of work! I am curious how it is going to be. Looks really good. They have said mid-October.

Just called yesterday and they say they are not making reservations for any dates before 11/1 (we are going 9/16 so did not try to book anything). Something about how the young lady worded it made it sound like they may have availability before then but to be sure they can deliver they won't book any dates before 11/1 this far out. This is my inference - she didn't say that specifically.

Last time I called they said October but doubted it would be on schedule so to plan for holiday time.

"Quick update on our ongoing renovations. We have a couple more weeks of stucco work and soon will be setting stone wainscoting. Electricians and plumbers are still working in the rooms. We are now hoping that all renovations are completed by November 1st and are taking tentative reservations beginning Nov 1st (fingers crossed)

"

I think we are booking there for Dec 5th. I plan to call today. So excited for a fully renovated Candy Cane! I stayed there as a child and hope my daughter likes it.

Interested to see what they do, we had a reservation for this week that they cancelled some time ago, one of our go to spots. Hopefully the prices don't spike too much.

We haven't stayed here since we were newlyweds. We usually stay onsite now, but we have it booked for Thanksgiving because we are traveling with extended family who are on a tighter budget. Should be fun to go back. I just hope they are ready to open in time for us. It is a great little hotel with great service and rates. It looks like the renovations will be nice too. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I saw on Instagram via their official account that they won't be opening in 2021 due to construction setbacks

I just got emails from them cancelling my November and December reservations. Hopefully I can get into Tropicana or Park Vue instead.
