Hi All,
We are staying at the CCI for the 1st time and wanted to know if there are any room requests that we should be making. We are staying in a preferred Queen. Thanks for any advice that you all have!

Do you mean a premium queen? The other choices are standard and deluxe.
Some people like the second floor to be up from the parking lot. Others like the first floor to be able to park right in front of their room and avoid hauling suitcases up the stairs. Personally, I don't have a preference.

Other than that, I can't think of a request you might make. We always request a slightly earlier check in time and sometimes they can do this, and sometimes not.

We've been there 3 or 4 times (I'm starting to loose track) and we have always had a very nice stay. We've always stayed in a deluxe but are doing standard this time since it is just DH and I this trip.

Thank you for your advice! I meant the queen room, one step up from standard. I have forgotten what it's called already. We are very excited to stay here because of all the nice things we have heard. It's nice to hear that there's no real need for a room request. We are WDW vetarns and have only been to DL a handful of times, so we are use to the WDW ways :-)

Ok, that would be deluxe then. Hope you enjoy your stay! We will be there in a little over a week. :cool1:

When I stayed there I realized that there really is no room request that is helpful. It is what it is--a motor coach motel with a view to the parking lot. It isn't meant to be a hotel experience. Once I realized that I knew that no matter where your room--at least you are at a safe, family friendly motel with very little frills. We did stay on the 2nd floor which I thought would be more quiet, but you could still hear screaming kids every where (parents--please tell your kids to keep it down--at least at 6:00 am!). It was hard to get our bags up to the second floor, as there is no elevator and you have to drag them up some open concrete steps. Next time I will ask for a first floor room, because we could wheel our bags straight into it. That would be my only tip. I can't imagine that the 1st floor is any more noisy than the 2nd, so you might as well save your back!

Have a safe and fun trip!

Our trip is in Aug. it is our last big family vacation before we send our son off to his freshman year in college:(. So, I'm not in any hurry for it to come. Plus the planning and anticipation is half the fun...

Thanks again for you help!

One tip for any hotel/motel you stay in. Bring a sound machine or small fan. We ALWAYS bring one and it drowns out most of the odd noises.

I can't believe I haven't thought to pack my little fan. I sleep with it at home for the noise and it would easily fit in a suitcase (or my car when driving to DLR). I'm so glad I am spending more time on the DIS.

We are flying in from the east coast, so we are limited on what we can pack. Thanks for the advice. Usually, we will be so tired at night that nothing keeps us awake :thumbsup2

Have a great trip! I'll look for your posts and pictures :)

The premium and deluxe rooms are in the back away from the pool area. The breakfast is better than a lot of them in the area, but no hot items.

They have an exclusive shuttle but it is walkable.

Rooms are nicely decorated and we've always had comfy beds.

We will be there Aug 20-24.
