Hi everyone!

I was wondering if anyone has/or is planning on doing a candy buffet. We are getting married 21 October 2011, so I was thinking of maybe doing a Halloween theme candy buffet?

I am sure Disney does this, but wondering if I would bring my own candy ( via plane I guess) and display holders and what not, or go through them.

Pictures and thoughts much appreciated! :)

You can supply your own candy if you want to, but they insist that it has to be individually wrapped pieces. Anything that's available in bulk unwrapped form (like M&Ms for example) they say has to come from them. It actually comes from Disney Floral, btw.

Disney's prices are really high. 5 pounds of Jordan Almonds or M&Ms for $87; 10 pounds of Jelly Bellies for $115!

You can also rent jars and scoops from Disney ... I think it was around $150.

If you want to do individually wrapped things, I have some links for online stores that sell things like rock candy and the old fashioned swirl pops -- things that don't usually come individually wrapped but do from these places. I guarantee they'd be cheaper than Disney! ;)

Our VR was in Nov 2009. We had a fall theme. Originally I wanted a candy bar. The price ended up being too much and I did not want to bring my own stuff which Disney does let you do. Click on the link below and you can see my BEO with the list of items and prices from Disney for the candy bar.

Thanks for the information. I don't mind buying some of the non-wrapped from them, if I could bring a bulk of the wrapped stuff down with me.

Pixie921, those links would be very helpful. I want to make this work in our budget, I have been looking forward to a table full of candy :lmao:

Does anyone know if Disney charges you to set up the candy if you bring it in (wrapped) yoursel? I am assuming so, but wanted to check

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure if they will set up outside candy or not. Check with your floral planner to be sure. :)
