Candy Buffet 4 graduation Questions about price, etc

Where is everyone getting the GREAT containers. I'm thinking ahead to graduation 2012.

I was on the search 2 years ago for dd's wedding. At that time, Hobby Lobby had a large selection of vases that could work, some were rectangular and large. Keep an eye out for their 40% coupons or sales.

I found cheap nice containers at TJ Maxx/Ross/Marshall's. My thrift stores(Goodwill, etc.) did not have anything nice. The giant pixie sticks add height and I hotglued candy bars on sticks to add extra height and interest. We had a big BBQ outside and I did the Candy Bar for "dessert" and take home goodies, as well as cake of course.

Check around and see if there are any local distributors of snacks and candy in your area (like the places that vending machine companies buy from). Cometimes they offer a cash and carry area and they will have some good deals on candy there. I work for Just Born, so I have to suggest Hot Tamales for the lady looking for red candy and Jolly Joes or Purple Peeps for the lady with the purple theme! :cool1:

I scoured Salvation Army and thrift sotres for months but never found anything really great. For my nice big containers I went to Michaels and A.C Moore using coupons I got them all for 40% off.

Now that I have the money invested in the containers I am going to do another one next time we have a big party. It was a lot of fun for the kids.

One thing I did that went over really well was we did the buffet at the end of the party and some Moms were coming back to get their kids. a few of them had siblings with them. I had extra containers and I invited the extra siblings to help themselves. There were a lot of really happy kids that night.

This is exactly like me! Containers at the thrift stores were $$$$ :confused3

I am also saving these for my second daughter's graduation in 2 more years.
