I have never gone to this but will be done there again for Christmas and thinking about going to it, I would like to know if this is worth it? TIA for you feedback, I have to call and make all my reservations vn :) the 23rd of this month

I've been three times to the CP (once with the dinner package but back then it was a lot cheaper and included tip). First time (2001) we waited in a really long line but made it in. I can't remember who was the speaker but it was good (I think it was boring for most of the kids around me as most were asleep or not paying attention). The next time (2005) we did the dinner package but got out of dinner later than expected and they had already started letting the general public in. We still got pretty decent seats. Then (2006) we waited maybe 15 minutes in line and still had good seats (of course it started to rain/sprinkle a little bit through it so that may be why the line wasn't extremely long). We've always gone in the middle of the week and the second week of December.

The dinner package may be becoming more of a necessity though as I've heard (but don't know how true this is) that they've been releasing more tables for the packages every year and they also just started a holiday tour ($179 pp) that includes seats at the CP (making less seats available for walk ups).

I think everyone should do it once (although I can't say it's worth the cost or the sacrificing of 2 credits to go if you go the CP package route). I think in the future I may just stand at the back of the theater and watch a few songs and then continue enjoying World Showcase (45+ minutes on a metal bench is not comfortable). The singing is always so good and the speakers are usually well spoken (nothing in particular was memorable about any performance; they get up, read a section of the story, sit down, the choir sings, they get up read another section, etc.). It is very festive and will get you in the Christmas spirit. If you do go be sure to bring a sweater or something to sit on as the metal gets cold quick in the evening (and maybe a poncho in case it starts sprinkling/raining).

I really enjoy the Candlelight Processional. Personally, I always do the dinner package, because depending on how many dinner packages are sold, the standby line folks might not get in. While you can easily hear the performance from outside the theater, I think it's better to sit and watch it. It's a beautiful performance, and it really gets you in a Christmas mood.

I really enjoyed the CP. I did the dinner package and felt that it was a good way to ensure a seat. I wanted to see it again though, so the following evening I stood in front of the theater just where the carolers enter. The CM standing there told me I would have a good view and she was correct. i was also treated to "surround sound" :goodvibes when I was joined by several carolers who participated earlier in the day. They were singing along, the effect was lovely!

We have done it many times and IMHO it is worth it. We are doing it again this year.

IMHO it is a waste of valuable Disney time that I can spend doing things I can only do at WDW vs. sitting through a program that every high school, community orchestra, professional orchestra, or many large churches put on in every city in America multiple times during the month of December. The only difference is Disney has famous people do the narration and you now get to waste TWO dining credits if you want to do the dinner package.

I'm a musician, I lead music at church, I've played in orchestras and sung in choirs for many years. The CP should be right up my alley. It is nicely done and there is nothing wrong with it in any way, but as I said, it is nothing you can't get anywhere in the country multiple times for free or cheaper (minus the celebrity narrator).

I'd rather spend that hour+ (got to count waiting in line) doing things I can only do at Disney. We did it once, it was enough. Other people love it. Enjoy! Less crowds for me on other things while ya'll are sitting in the cold watching it. :)
