Candlelight Processional

Nothing regarding my call today to WDW. Left a message, but no retun call. I will keep after it tomorrow.

Thanks for the update... keep us posted!

I made my ADR's today and the CM had no idea when the CP packages would be released. I told her I wanted to go ahead and make an ADR for LeCellier, because as soon as the CP packages are released I will call to change it over to the package, if possible. There was only one reservation left for Dec 6 and the CM was shocked that so many were already booking. I told her to grab that ressie before someone else got it :rolleyes1 Whew, it's gotta be DISers planning their 180 plus 10 ressies!

Called this morning and was told early to mid-August.

Called today to make all our ADR's for Dec 3 - 13th, also asked about the CP packages, still nothing, so I booked a dinner ADR anyway, will have to deal with it when it happens. crazy :surfweb:

Called today to change one of our ADR's and while I had them on the line I asked again about the CP. Same answer except they said the could be out mid-July to August. Still not a help.

I guess the person at WDW doesn't really want to talk with me either. I called again today...no return call. Not too cool that's for sure!

I agree with the poster about there being a lot of cancellations once the CP packages are released. I e-mailed Disney the other day and said just that. I also stated since they have not released the CP packages and are not planning to till August that they should allow those who have made there ADR's already be allowed to convert there excisting ADR to a CP Package and this would elimate all the cancellation that will happen. Have not heard from them yet but I am sure I will.

I wouldn't be so sure that you will hear from anyone. I am very disappointed. I have called a couple times each day this week and I still have not heard a word. I just sent another email.

Everytime I see a post from this thread in my inbox, I get excited with hope that someone is going to say they were just released. Is it possible that Disney intentionally does this to us to try to build excitement and interest? The best advertisement is free word of mouth from people who have been there, done it, and want desperately to go back. I have a Disney Cruise planned for Sept, so I am also watching the Disney Cruise board also. When everyone was waiting on the rates for next year to be released, this same type of thread started. I'm just picturing all the Disney Higher Ups sitting around in a conference room, reading this thread and laughing at us.

I called this morning... same mantra...check the "official" site (gee isn't the DISboards the official site?) and call back Mid-August.

Thanks for trying. popcorn::

Just hung up the phone with dining and was told the same thing "mid-August". I did ask if there were tables put aside specifically for the dinner packages, as alot of restaraunts are getting booked up with people getting regular adr's, while waiting for the packages. She said yes, but could not tell me how many tables are put aside.

:confused3 I received an email this morning. I guess my second email did get their attention. I was not happy yesterday when I was hung up on. This is sad that this is the response I received

"While we appreciate your interest in learning of Candlelight taking place during your next visit to
Walt Disney World Resort, details have not yet been set."

Did my daily call and the CM that I spoke with said there is no information available and that there was no release date listed. When I mentioned August, she said that since they had no information available, not sure where I got an August release date.

How annoying. When I called about our June ADRs yesterday, the CM I talked with knew nothing even about it :sad2:

You know what I wonder? I wonder if they'll decide they don't need to do the Candlelight Processional dinner packages this year. It sounds like the DDP has made the table service restaurants much more popular than they used to be. If the restaurants are filling up without the package (and it sounds like they are), then maybe, the package isn't necessary.

Just a thought . . .

That's very interesting. I wonder if they might think that way.

If they are thinking that the dinner packages are no longer necessary, what about the seating arrangements for the show. I thought the dinner package guaranteed your seating for this special event. This would certainly change things and the entire seating arrangements would have to be worked out.

It's always been my impression that preferred seating was the carrot that was offered to us if we bought the Candlelight Processional dinner package and filled their restaurants -- in the same way preferred seating is offered with the Fantasmic Package. If the restaurants are full, the enticement to buy (preferred seating) is no longer necessary. Seating simply becomes first come, first served, and no special seating arrangements are required. Everyone just waits in one line.
