Candlelight Processional

Okay, I just spoke to a CM who said it can be booked 180 days out, starting on 5.18????? Anyone inside the 180 day mark yet?? I am not till 6.5, but if anyone is and wants to give it a whirl, let us know!! She said they won't have specifics about speakers and what not till August, but she basically said as soon as you hit your 180 day mark book it asap b/c it goes fast. She said also that it appears as if all the same restaurants from last year are on it. I asked about if it is part of DDP again and she said she believes so since it was last year, but it was not a definite yes. Anyone else get any other info today??

I had Miss Clueless today...again. She said August, then 180 days, then none at all. It was amazing. It's so frustrating because I ended yesterday's conversation with "call back tomorrow, the problem should be fixed."

Drives me bats!!

:cool1: Hoping to book this soon! My ADR window opens up 5/29. We plan to go to the 5:15 p.m. show and then eat at Marrakesh. Does anyone know what time is should make my ADR for? It will be me, DH and DS and DD, both 8.

Thanks :Pinkbounc

I called earlier today & the CM insisted that they would not open until mid August. I asked about the 180 days & she was a little taken aback. Then she said that they are probably going to hold some back for the CP. This was strictly a guess on her part.

Well I will see come May 28th as I will try and book it. I know where I want to eat and what show. Speaker does not matter to me I will get a surpise when they make it known.

I love that we all get different answers. It is just like when the MVMCP tickets went on sale and then we tried to make ADR's for that.

Thanks to everyone who continues to post!!!!!!!!!!

This is my first year booking the Candlelight Processional, so I am trying to make sure I don't miss out on any information. I wish we would get some clear answers on when the package info would be released.

Is it pretty difficult to book this package? I am going to try for Christmas day I think, since I will be there from Dec 24-30. Is Christmas especially hard to book?

Yes, Christmas Eve and Day are very popular. It used to be Gary Sinise until last year.

Also, since a couple of people have been told Monday is the day, I'd call Monday just to check and see if they were released even if it's not your 180 days so you don't miss out.

Some restaurants go fast like Le Cellier. Espcially if you are only 2 people as they only have a couple of tables for 2 people.

The CP packages go pretty fast.

Just so I am clear...they aren't selling CP packages MORE THAN 180 days out, correct? I am there 12/9-12/16 so I can't call until June 9 anyway, but if they are opening up ALL CP packages for ALL dates, that's something I think we all need to know.

No one knows for sure what the case is since we all get conflicting answers. Just keep an eye on this thread- I am sure someone will post as soon as they are successful in booking a package! :thumbsup2

The only thing I heard new today was that a normal dining reservation could not be turned into a dinner package. Some posted they would have their ADR converted which isn't possible.

I don't know how they are going to do this either. I talked at length this afternoon to someone else who was a supervisor and she seemed rather confused about the entire thing also. This is not how they did things last year that's for sure. The CP were offered before the 90 day ADR window.

Haha! Love all of the different answers! Today I was told that it would be released at 90 days. Sigh.....the CM said she kept hearing all sorts of things, too, and she read me some statement she had saying they would be released 5/18, and that day has passed so ??? She put me on hold to talk to guest services who told her to advise me to call back at 180 days, because they weren't sure either. LOL :rotfl2:

I heard the 5/18 date as well and said to the supervisor..."so book it for me" and she couldn't. We both thought as we were problem solving the situation while I was on the phone...that the 5/18 date came from 10 days before 5/28 which would be the first day to book an ADR for the first show...the day after Thanksgiving. But, there was nothing to book and it's two days after 5/18. When I finished talking with her she understood my frustration because she was right there with me. The email she read to me had conflicting information in it. I told her it was pathetic.

I mentioned the party tickets and I told her that during the time I'll be there, I won't have time to play game with a CM as to whether they are offered or not. She told me to email guest relations. I wish I knew who the CM talked to last night when I called. They seemed to know "the answer". But, he didn't say last night.

I'm just annoyed over the entire thing :badpc:

Just called and spoke to a CM at dining. Explained how several people were getting conflictin info and could he please find out which story is correct. He put me on hold and transferred me to what I thought was a supervisor. Instead, he transferred me to central reservations. She in turn sent me back to Disney dining, where I asked yet another cm what seems to be the release date. He said that, according to the notes he had, the CP dinner packages were not being released until mid to late August.

Called back and asked to speak with a supervisor. Explained the several different answers that people were being given and asked if he knew which was correct. Was told that "the dates and times of the performances have been set & that he had the tentative list of speakers (not giving that info out, I asked), but that no information as to when the dinner packages would be available for sale has been released." He also said that "the cm's should not be giving out inaccurate information and that all cm's would be informed as to when the packages will be available for sale."

He was very nice and understood people's anxiousness in securing packages, as it can be hard to find dining at EPCOT (especially for single or parties of 2), but said that they have received no official information from the company as of yet, but hopefully soon. He also recommended getting my adr's (especially at EPCOT for dinner) as soon as my 180 day window hit (next week). He said this way I'll have those locked in and if I want to change one of them when the CP packages open up, then I can.

Why are parties of two hard to come by? I've never understood this.
When DD and I tried to get into Norway, they said, no parties of 2 only 4. Then when we arrive they put us at a table for 4.

The supervisor I talked with today said that there were not even dates set yet so the information from supervisor to supervisor isn't the same. I'm about ready to give up the ship.

Just subscribing!

I too am wanting CP for Christmas Day. To make it harder, we will be a group of only two.

Thanks for the info. I'm trying to get Teppanyaki for a party of four, and I know those tables seat 8. I'll definitely try calling Monday morning. Too bad we can't just get definitive information. Seems like even some supervisors are saying different things.

Here's another random question: How do these tier things work? Is it just that they place certain restaurants at a certain tier and they all cost the same, or do you get better seating or something if you book a higher tier?

The tiers are just different price levels for the restaurants. Then you all get in the package line for the show and then are seated first come first served. Then later, they let the non-package people find seats also first come first served.

The package folks get the front of the theater and the non package get the back.
