Which of the three shows is the least crowded? I plan to go this Saturday. Also, what is the best way to see both Osborne Lights and the Candlelight Processional in one night?

See the earliest CP show, then take the boat over to DHS.

I don't remember who the narrator is but if it's someone popular, all the shows are going to be busy.

Friday (11/30) we did the earliest Candlelight show and then took the boat over to DHS. We stopped into the Beach Club and Yacht club on the way over and took the boat from the Swan. We rode TSM with FPs and were at the lights by 7:15. See the 5pm and you'll have plenty of time!

We did the dinner package and if you are planning on seeing both I would consider it. The standby line was crazy long (Whoopi narrating) and after they loaded in the dinner package guests there were only a few rows in the back for standby.

James Denton is the narrator (Desperate Housewives). We're going Saturday too as my HS alumni is singing in it. We'll be at the middle show. Can't wait. :goodvibes

Thanks for the replies! I've never taken the boat from Epcot to HS. How do you do that? It is James Denton, and I was hoping to avoid the first show because I heard it was better in the dark.

Watch the first show, it'll be the least busy and still without the package you should get in line for it at least 3 hours before to get a guaranteed seat for the first one, then walk toward UK, after you cross the bridge between France and UK, to your left you'll see the boat dock at International Gateway. The boat makes stops at Boardwalk, Beach/Yacht CLub and Swan/Dolphin before getting to DHS. Or you can walk, it's about the same amount of time.

you get the boat in Epcot to DHS on the worldshowcase side of €pcot it will stop at Swan/Dolphin Yacht Beach & Boardwalk resorts than lastly DHS Osborne Lights open dusk to park closing some threads on Dis say later but I know for a fact what I just wrote is correct So only way to possibly do both is go to 1st show I don't know how popular Dentin is but since its a weekend expect crazy

Personally I want to see Trace Adkins think he's there 12/22 may have to start lining up
soon

I'm kind of excited to see Trace Adkins. I had no idea who he was until the other day with the scandal surrounding him.

I will be seeing the 8:15 show on the 20th. The past 3 years, I saw the 6:45 show the busiest being last year when NPH performed.

What scandal?

had to google it myself apparently he performed and his microphone or earpiece or something had a confederate flag sime people felt it was racist he aologized meant no offense & explained as a southerner he was honoring his relatives that were soldiers don't know I'd call it scandalous but as a native New Yorker I have to admit I was taken aback when I first moved here Seeing confederate flags now I kind of understand & find I don't eve react anymore just part of life Anyway have a great time and OP didN't mean to highjack your thread

Thanks for all your advice. I'm guessing you don't think it's a good idea to go to Osborne Lights first and then head over to Epcot for the 8:15 Candlelight Processional?

I don't. The lights get turned on at 6:00, and personally, I can easily spend an hour there, and I wouldn't want to be checking my watch constantly rather than enjoying the lights.

I'm glad I opened this thread! I am considering a spur of the moment trip as a surprise to my DD12 next week for 12-12-12 and was wondering if it was possible to do both CP at Epcot and the lights at HS in one night. If we follow the suggested schedule, with HS closing an hour and a half before Epcot, is it possible to get back to Epcot in time to see Illuminations?

Isay go for it something I would attempt go via boat

For any of you who get the chance to see Trace Adkins...bring a tissue. His narration is so moving there's not a dry eye in the house :worship:We have the honor of Jodi Benson this year and I'm coming well-stocked:thumbsup2

I'm happy to report that we were able to see candlelight processional at 5, then head to HS for Osborne lights and fantastic at 8, and we got back to Epcot for the fireworks at 9:30! Since we went to MVMCP the night before, we were able to see everything we wanted in 3 parks in 24 hours! Thanks for all of your help!

Oh that is awesome news! So glad it worked for you. My plan is set then. 12/12/12...here we come! :-)

I wouldn't. If the lights turn on at 6, thats about what time you'd have to line up at CLP for the 8:15 show. The 8:15 show is always the busiest, so that showing would be my last choice.
