Candlelight Processional Dinner - Watching & Waiting

You must schedule your Candlelight Processional Dining Package BEFORE the performance you will attend. There is a Lunch Package for those attending the 5:00 performance and a Dinner Package for those attending the 6:45 or 8:00 performances. You must eat during the following time periods with this package:
  • 5:00 show: lunch between 1:45-2:45 pm
  • 6:45 show: dinner between 3:30-4:30 pm
  • 8:15 show: dinner between 5:00-6:00 pm
I got this info from mousesavers.com.

Somehow I can justify spending $60 to eat at the Tier 3 restaurants if it includes appetizer, entree, dessert AND the preferred seating
Does it include an appetizer? :confused3 With the dining plan you only get an entree and dessert. An appetizer, too would be nice. :goodvibes

Good point about the cost... I did not realize that the cost of dining at Garden Grill would be so much more... I guess I have to do more homework. What do you guys think about Tepan Edo? I was thinking Garden Grill because of characters not sure I want to pay $45 for that.
I agree! $45 is crazy high for a buffet. We love Teppan Edo. It is your typical Japanese Hibatchi - tons of really good food and a fun show. :thumbsup2

Yes, last year it included an appetizer, entree, non-alcoholic drink & dessert.

Thanks for the info, this helps with trying to plan your other meals. I remember last year we wanted to go to the 6:45 show and I had planned lunch at 1 then we had dinner at around 4, not enough time between meals.

I'm a little stuck on where to go too. At first, I thought that Biergarten would be nice but everywhere I've looked shows that Tier 1 is only $15 cheaper for Tier 3. Somehow I can justify spending $60 to eat at the Tier 3 restaurants if it includes appetizer, entree, dessert AND the preferred seating but with the Tier 1 restaurants, which are both buffets, I feel like you're paying a lot since the buffets don't cost near $45.00. Does anyone else feel the same way??

Also, can you eat at any time for the show. Obviously if you book a lunch ressie, you watch the 5:00 show, but like, are there cut off times for when your dinner ressie has to be in order to see the 6:45 or 8:15 shows??

Thanks in advance peeps ;)

I know once a diser did a mathmatical calculation on what would be the best value for the cp pkg. and he came up with Garden Grill.

In the past we did this and took the 3 ds. I figured for the price with the characters too it was a win-win situation for us with the cp tickets too.

Now just dh and I are going so I am only looking at Tier 3.

Anybody able to make a reservation yet?

No, not yet... I called (again) yesterday and the CM told me that they still have end of July as the approximate time as to when they will start booking but she also told me to try again next week just in case... :confused3

Does anyone know how long the CLP is?

Right now I have an ADR at Le Cellier at 6:20pm, if I can't get a dinner CLP ressie there i was thinking that I would try to book a lunch at GG and pay OOP for it. Would I have enough time to make it to Le Cellier after the 5PM show?

The show runs 35-45 minutes depending on who you ask. So you should have enough time to make it from the theater to Le Cellier, especially since your seating would probably be in the back half of the theater when you use stand-by to get in.

You should be fine, I would just sit closer to an exit, sometimes getting out of the theater can be tricky.

Garden Grill no longer serves lunch.

I've been trying since 180 days and can't seem to find a reservation for any of the CP restaurants for lunch or dinner. I'm waiting for the package along with everyone else. This will be our first Christmas season trip.

Do you know which restaurants have lunch for CLP?

In 2009 the list was:

Tier 1: Biergarten - Germany

Tier 2: San Angel Inn - Mexico, Nine Dragons Restaurant - China, Rose and Crown - UK, Restaurant Marrakesh - Morocco

Tier 3: Le Cellier Steakhouse - Canada, Chefs de France - France, Teppan Edo and Tokyo Dining - Japan, Tutto Italia - Italy, Coral Reef - The Living Seas

Thanks :thumbsup2 Maybe we will give Coral Reef a try. I don't like seafood but I see they have lots of other stuff!

Yes they do have other good stuff. Here's photos from dinner December 5, 2009. These are also on the lunch menu that I just checked on allears. It's the Grilled New York Strip Steak and the Chocolate Wave. I had crab cakes appetizers so I didn't include that photo for you.
