Candlelight Processional Dinner - Watching & Waiting

I hope the CP packages come out soon, like on the 20th... It's driving me nuts we couldn't get reservations at any of the three places we wanted in Epcot. We're going Dec 11-17 and couldn't get a dinner reservation at Le Cellier, Coral Reef, or Garden Grill (The Mrs  Chip n' Dale) anytime during that week :sad2: Our fault for waiting a couple weeks after the 180 mark to decide, but it still is no fun...

We are going the same time frame, I tried a couple days after the 180 mark and couldn't get any of the those restaurants either. :sad2:

We are going that very same time frame staying until the 18th. I called and did online ressies at 180days and got everything we wanted. We did get Lecellier and we are very excited. All the trips we ever taken it has been booked so we were very excited when we got a ressies there. We got Teppon Edo but want to change it to the CP package. Ill be calling early early on the 20th. Good luck see you there!!

Since the narrators have not been completely booked yet, there is no way a CM can know for sure when the Processional packages will be open. Candlelight did open on the same day as F&W last year, but that was in Aug. You can hope that Candlelight will happen on the 20th, but don't think that is concrete!

I began calling for Le Cellier 180 days out and could not get so much as a lunch! How in the world did you manage to book it EVERY night????

This was meant to be directed to Hacknusuit....:)

LeCellier can be very dependent on party size. They are one of the most 'unfriendly' locations when it comes to booking an odd party size. Try for a reservation for 1? Probably won't happen. Plunk in the same parameters (Date and time) for a party of 2 and the world of dining opens up. Same for parties of 3, 5, 7 and so on.

I was actually on my way to Disney at 180 days, didn't even think about booking dining for December then, didn't realize a couple days would make a difference. I tried online when I got back at 184 days and no Le Cellier or Garden Grill. Live and learn.

I called this morning and was also told July 20th. Thankfully, I have the day off from work so that I can sit on the phone if this does open up along with F&W events.

Does anyone have an opinion about doing a lunch vs a dinner reservation? Better to do an earlier or a later show?

Thanks!

I have posted this before but no one seems to know the answer - I have a Le Cellier reservation for 4 booked just in case I can't get the CP package, but I am the only one of our party that wants the package. Can I book a CP package for one, but a table for 4??? - or alternatively will they let me keep my existing reservation for 4 and just 'convert' one diner to the CP package??

Many thanks for any advice:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Just talked to a cast member today and was making dining and other reservations, and she indicated that Candlelight Processional would be booking on July 20th. She said that they have most of the narrators booked but she could not indicate what nights they are narrating.

Good luck to all in getting a time that works for you.

thanks for the update!!

I think I would call Disney and ask. Then you'll know ahead of time what to try for once reservations open up. :)

If you are booking it as a NON-Candlelight package. Just a plain, regular Le Cellier reservation is a regular ADR, no payment is asked for until you pay the check. So, you and your other 3 people would go to your reservation as normal. Let your server know you will use a dining plan only. The server should set it up as 2 separate checks, one for you and your dining plan and one for the other 3 OOP.

No. I use to work in dinning and I know that they use to not allow this. It is sorta like the dinning plan where it is all or nothing but I would go ahead and ask when you call to make reservations. Also check and see what the real differences are between the menu and the CP package. If there really are none then get everyone the CP package in case they change their mind. If not and thy are transferable, you might make your own disney Magic by giving them to someone in line. ( I don't know for sure if they allow that so you might want to check into that one first as well)

That is a wonderful idea! :goodvibes

Anyone hear if they are still charging 2 dining plan credits for this? If so, I'll wait in line..... If back to only 1 credit, I'll sign up.

I'm sure they will keep it 2 since people were willing to pay for it last year.

From what I know, there hasn't been word yet. However, as you already mentioned, they filled up last year charging 2 so that's what I would expect.

We're going to Disney 12/10-12/16 and I've booked le cellier every night:thumbsup2 ...just to get the package one night:eek:

Does any one know If I'll be able to convert one of them to the package :confused3

thanks!

this board is great..still waitinf ROFR too:rolleyes1
No, not possible. CP ADRs have to be booked new. You can try calling to book the pkg with LeCellier as your restuarant and then cancel the LeCellier ADRs you don't want anymore, but you have to book the pkg ADR fresh. They will not allow you to convert an existing ADR into a package one.

Since the narrators have not been completely booked yet, there is no way a CM can know for sure when the Processional packages will be open. There have been many years, every one almost, that the schedule has not been 100% complete when they allowed booking of ADRs for the pkg. In fact, there have been mulitple changes in narrators once the booking window was opened!!! So, I wouldn't expect Disney to hold off opening the booking window until the list is complete.

I would doubt it. I can't say for sure though. I would call when they open up for pkg bookings and see what they say.

The reason for the 2 credits needed last year was the free dining option. It has always been just the one credit before last year, but there hadn't been free dining offered at this time before. I have to figure that they are going to do it the same way they did it last year since free dining is an option again.

2 things!:rolleyes1

1. I'm in texas...get up @ 5:30 am...ADR opens at 6:00 am via internet. So I started booking early:surfweb:

2. And...with a confirmed resort rezz.. I got to go 190 days out. Even so, for that last week....Le Cellier was limited...especially on Wednsday and Thursday...12/15 and 12/16.

I'll be cancelling most of them once I get the package..and finalize my plans. Just leaving all my options open. I'll be sure to post on here when I do. If you're interested...send me a PM...and I'll let you know

I was told yesterday by a CM that the CP Packages will once again be two table service credits per person.

I thought about this, and this is what I would do...
I'd make 2 reservations. I'd keep the regular one for 4, and call and make a CPP reservation for 1 with the time as close as possible to the other reservation. Then when you check in you can just ask to sit with the other 3 in your party. :) It seems like it would work to me. :goodvibes
