Candlelight Processional Dinner - Watching & Waiting

Last year we paid OOP for all meals in December. I booked CPPs and had to either link it to my hotel reservation or give my credit card number (I forget which.) They read me all the rules which included that unless I gave them a 72 hour advance cancellation notice we would be billed the full price plus tax. I know this for certain because I had it marked on my spreadsheet. (The only thing we would not be billed if we were no show would be the tip.

The CPP was the highlight of a wonderful December trip to WDW for us. I was not billed at the time of the reservation. We paid our bill that evening at the restaurant.

Subbing . . . can't wait for our first CP this year :cool1:!! Is there any word yet on what restaurants are partaking this year?:goodvibes

Can I pick the brains of anyone who has gone over Christmas before? I have two dates when we can make CP - 24th or the 27th Dec - which day is likely to be the biggest struggle to get a CP dining package? Will Christmas Eve be busiest because everyone is trying to do it the night before Chrsitmas, or is 27th likely to be busier as - I've heard - that's the busiest week of the year? Or is it all much the same?

Thanks!:goodvibes

There is a pretty good crowd calendar here: http://www.easywdw.com/category/calendar/december/ :goodvibes

It looks like the 27th might be your best bet.

I found a site that listed only the dinner prices going up by $2 from last years pricing and the lunch $$ were all the same. We shall see if it is correct!

Were the Tier 1 children's dinner prices still higher than Tier 2 like last year?

What website did you find this on?

If purchasing the Dining Plan, has anyone heard how many Table Service credits this will take for Japan? I already have a reservation for Teppan Edo so trying to decide if there is a difference.

Thanks!

Does anyone know how soon prior to the opening of bookings for the Candlelight Processional that the restaurant info was released last year? Just trying to get a handle on for certain pricing and restaurant availability. TIA!

Post #737 is the 2009 information. I think we are all waiting to see if 2010 has any changes.
