Candlelight Processional Dinner - Watching & Waiting

Tiers are based on typical cost of meals at each restaurant. Also have different prices whetehr it would be for lunch (5 PM show) or dinner.

I would suggest reconsidering the early show. It's not dark yet at 5 so the candlight part of the processional is not as impressive as when it is dark.

poohj80 is correct. The tiers have nothing to do with seating. They are only reflective of the typical prices for the various restaurants. If you are using any ddp it will be 2 credits. Since tax and gratuity are not included they would be slightly less if you select a lower tier restaurant. The seating is all first come, first choice with the package line all allowed in first to find seating. If there are any leftover seats at a certain time prior to the beginning of the show the standby line has an opportunity to enter the theater.

Actually, I did notice a separate seating area last year for people with gold tags-I assumed it was based on tiers-since we were stuck with Nine Dragons-I assumed the lucky front row people were from Le Cellier, Coral Reef, etc.

My quess is they were special guests for that performance as all dining package folks get is a sticker with a time on it.

CM Carrie is still saying "end of July", but I have zero confidence in that info, because when I asked if she had new info on when Hacienda would be opening she told me, "Sept. 16, but you won't need reservations for that. It's going to be a QS place only." I repeated the name Hacienda in case she thought I had said Cantina, but she stuck to her "No TS, only QS" info for Hacienda. Maybe I should have explained that I think Hacienda is the side of the restaurant that seats 250, will be open for dinner only, and will serve things like flank steak with cactus leaves, grilled red snapper, and mixed grill for two, featuring grouper, shrimp and scallops; (That doesn't sound like any QS place that I know of.) Not wanting to make her feel foolish, I just thanked her and hung up, but it's a shame to think that she could give that kind of wrong info out to others who don't know any better. :sad2:

That is who I talked to this morning too.. I asked about Le Cellier and litterly in 5 secs she new it wasn't avalible. The problem is.. she never asked how many was in my party and when I asked her she said there were not table for any party and hung up.. :scared1: Now very magical if you ask me. Especially at 6am in the morning.

Guess the poor CM's are stressed answering the same questions every morning :confused3 from the same people.

I can imagine that they are stressing. Disney really needs to announce a hard date to open the package up. If they don't have all the narrators, just let people decide if they want to book not knowing who the narrator is.

I am going on 12/5 no matter who the narrator is. It's the date that fits into our schedule best and my kids really want to see the performance and hear the carols. They could care less who the narrator is.

I'll get off of my soap box now;)

I have a friend who works in guest services at the call center here in Tampa. After seeing the posts for the past few weeks, I decided to just email her at work. She just responded and said Disney has not released the dates yet but keep checking because it will be sometime next month. So it will be interesting to see if they wait until August.

That being said, unless you are wanting actual holiday dates for this package, I don't think it will be tough to secure what you want. We've gone for many years now, and I always call within the first few days to book and have always gotten what we wanted, with lots of availability. Remember, the rest of the world is not as obsessed as we all are. ;)

Thanks for your assurance. Personally, I'm not too worried because I am aiming for a Monday this year. But last year I did call right at 7:00 am the first morning I was eligible to call (remember it was 90 plus 10 then) and had to settle for my 4th choice restaurant. I wanted either of 2 dates for the middle or last show. They were for the 3rd or 5th night of our stay so folks who began their vacation a few days ahead of us already had first shot at those dates.

Well, now I am confused. I don't remember the Candlelight Package being held to the 90 day dining booking rule. I have always booked it whenever it was released. :confused3

I am sure it is stressful and that is okay for the real world!!! They are never supposed t show it to the guests of WDW!! That is why all of us save all our money to go and get away from the real world!!

I understand - but, if this same person is not being as kind as she should to all these people - then she needs to be moved out of that job, she is putting forward a bad face for the Disney Company where more diligence is required in customer decorum... That is why Disney is worth paying more for... Well one of the reasons! Magic is worth it, I tell all my friends that Disney is the best value because of how you get treated there...

If they will just fix whatever problem is keeping them from releasing the CP packages a lot of stress will be alleviated all around!!

True that-but we're trying to get Le Cellier on a Saturday night. Granted if we don't get it....meh, but I really want it so I can cancel my Le Cellier lunch. Also-I really want to see the CP, but don't want to wait THAT long lol!

I called the day they released at 6 am last year for the week AFTER Thanksgiving, very low crowds, and I got my 2rd choice restaurant at an odd time.

I am also trying for Le Cellier on a specific date (12/5). I have a lunch ADR that day, but I would prefer dinner and want to go to CP without waiting in much of a line. This fulfills the kiddos desires for CP and my dad's desire for LeCellier dinner. If I don't get it, no biggie, but I am willing to try since all of my other planning is complete. Girl's gotta have something to do for disney planning:rotfl:

I guess for me it's not so much about who is doing the reading as what is being read. We are scheduled to be there during the TBA period. I look upon that as being a wonderful thing. Who knows who may be reading during our visit!! We have certain dates we will be there and will attrend no matter what happens with dinner reservations. I am willing to stand in the rear and sing along if that is what it takes to make my heart swell with good feelings to all men at this time.

I hope you all get to book exactly what you want during your visit. What a special way to celebrate!!

I do empathize with the CMs because I sure wouldn't want to be answering this question over and over. But I am baffled by the number of different answers. I called twice yesterday and 3 times today just to see if I would ever get the same answer. I never did. ACTUALLY I received a different answer each and every time from we have no info, by the end of July, sometime in August, the third week of August, and try back tomorrow we may have some info. Oh well, we have multiple ADRs at EPCOT on each of 3 days in Dec that we won't be canceling until we have a firm CP reservation. IOO, the CP is not worth 2 table service credits especially Tier 1 and even Tier 2 at lunch. We plan on paying out of pocket and saving the TS credits for other meals. Just our opinion. Since John O"Hurley isn't on the narrator list, I e-mailed him at his website and asked him. If I get an answer, will post what he says.

I really want to book mine as soon as it comes out because depending on when I can get it I may have to change some of my ADRs. I'll be there 12/20-12/25. There is only one night of Fantasmic while we're there and we have a Fantasmic dinner package so I can't do CP that night. I have two nights with Epcot ADRs and plan to make CP for one of those nights (one of those being Christmas Eve). I don't care which show we see or which of those two nights and I have several restaurants we'd be happy with, but LeCellier is at the top of the list (just like everyone else). When we tried to do CP a few years ago it rained so hard we didn't get to see it.

So I REALLY wish Disney would just tell me which day to call and I'll do it.

Well said-in the rush to get the right meal at the right time I've forgotten-that it's really just a blessing to be there :goodvibes!

Subscribing - because I want to book as soon as possible. I want Dec 15, so we can see SCC. It works perfectly with our trip.

Now, without digging back through all these posts, is there a link to what restaurants are participating? Thanks!
