Does anyone have any idea when dates/tickets will be released for the Candlelight Processional this year? I am planning on booking the dining package so want to put a 'look out' for date in the diary. For those that have done this in the past, which restaurant would be your one of choice? TIA

The dates of the event are always nightly, through Dec. 30, starting Friday, the day after Thanksgiving.

In 2015, packages and narrators were listed by Disney on July 7.

A number of the narrators were still TBD and were filled in later.

So far I think I liked San Angel Inn the best for CP dinner. It was outstanding, and because it was in the WC< the walk to the line for the show was reasonable. WE also liked Teppan Edu.

If you book a meal in FW like Garden Grill or Coral Reef, give yourself time to walk to the show, and if you book Coral Reef, be aware that they tend to run late. I woudl book an earlier rather then later time if you choose that restaurant.

In the past, pretty much all of the Epcotvrestaurants were up for grabs. It really depends on what you like to eat and how much you want to spend. Our first time, we ate at Restaurant Marakesh, which was pretty reasonable, especially for lunch. We switched to Chefs de France the next year, and my husband had to look twice, then three times at the bill, in total disbelief. I think Biergarten for lunch has a reputation for being the most economical. That can always change.

Last year I really had to tell myself I was also paying for the show. The bill was high, IMO. I would never let my DH see the bill if we were not on the DDP because he would choke. ANd if you use the DDP, you are paying an extra credit, so again....you pay for the show.

Isn't Le Chefs like $70/person for the CP package?

I Just checked and it was 70 last year. Our bill for SAI was around 75 plus tip. It included an appetizer and dessert, but I think it is still a bit expensive.

do you have to pay ahead of time to reserve CP package? We will be on the dining plan but not singing up for the dining plan until right before the trip. I ran into a problem with the reservations with CRT for my upcoming trip because I am not signed up for the dining plan yet they wanted to charge me in advance. Since there will be 14 of us, I do not want to pay in advance. Also, is the dining package still a necessity to get in to see the show?

No. You pay ahead if you are going to HDDR, SOA, and CRT if you are not on the DDP, but for CP you do not need to. You do not need the DDP to see the show, but if you want a voucher for seating, you must sign up for the package. Not everyone finds that they need the package to enjoy the show, but we always do get it in order to make sure we have a seat. My I ask why you are waiting to sign up for the plan?

Because we have to pay for it 100% up front at the time of purchase. We are DVC members so it is not a room package.

We are planning to do SAI. This will be our first time for both the restaurant and the CP. So excited! Was this the price for dinner? I looked last night and thought it was like $45/person for lunch... We will be paying OOP since I don't want to gobble up 2 of my TS credits. We are already using 2 for CRT.

The CP price was about $75 for dinner. It was excellent though, and included an appetizer, entrée and dessert. I cannot remember if it included a beverage.

The CP prices are fixed price I believe. I paid OOP for it as well, and thought that for us, it was best using credits elsewhere.

Is Le Cellier Steakhouse on the CP package and if so can I use TS credits? I realize it might be 2 credits, but it is normally two credits.

I pretty sure it includes a non alcoholic beverage.

No that is not one of the participating restaurants. We have been doing the dinner package through Chefs our last few trips.

How is the CP booked? Can you do it online, or does it have to be over the phone? And what is the cancellation policy?

1. How is the CP booked? Can you do it online,
2. or does it have to be over the phone?
3. And what is the cancellation policy?

1. You can.
2. You can do it that way, too.
3. The usual 24 hours in advance.

This will depend on the narrator and the timing. For many, many nights last year, the standby seating was very limited as there were just so many people who had the dining package. With 14 of you, I think you'll want to do a package if you can.

Hey y'all. Help me out. We have never done CP before because we haven't been down during the time period that you can see it. We will be down 12/12-12/17 and will be on the Disney DP. How does that work with CP? Are the dining pkgs extra outside of the DP or can you use DP credits for the dinner pkgs?
