I only have 1 day at a park since I'm going down for work. Which is better Candlelight Procession or Osborne Lights. Can't do both this year. that's for next year.

which do I need to see this year?

It's much easier to see the lights than the processional (unless you have a meal package). I'd go with the lights.

the lights are easier and free. The CP you may need a package to see but personally OP wins hands down.

If you have a park hopper ticket, it is very easy to do both. Watch the 5 pm(?) CP and then get on the boat and go to the Studios. I often do both in one night. Get the dinner (or lunch) package, see the first show and go to DHS will give you everything.

I believe they are tearing down the area where the osbourne lights are, and this may be the last year for it. Its spectacular, and free. I would go for it.

Osborne lights by far. I love the processional but you can't replicate the Osborne lights. Enjoy!

another vote for the lights! We finally did the CP a couple of years ago and although I am glad we did I have to admit that the show was a bit of a "yawner" for me. It reminded me of church Christmas pagents from my childhood ... a bit more professional but still ...

Osborne Lights for sure. Unless you are a huge lover or Christmas choral (largely religious) music or the narrator that night, the lights are too beautiful to miss, plus it snows on you during the show. I loved the CP, but it's also more work to line up etc to see it.

Osborne Lights are amazing but they only take us about 10-15 minutes to walk around and check them out, and watch a song or two. Then we're all set. Candlelight Processional is a way to spend an evening. Not to mention, if you are spending time in the park during the day, we find there's more to do at Epcot than DHS.

Definitely the Osborne Lights because I think this is the last year that they will be up in Hollywood Studios.

Based on my time stamps from the last time I saw them, I spent an hour checking them out.

Unless the rumor that the Osborne lights might not be available next year is your deciding factor, I think it depends on which atmosphere you want. Do you want to wander the lights or sit at the CP? Do you prefer technological performance or live performance? Which would put you in a more holiday mood? We think the CP is, by far, the better performance; however, we don't always choose to go because it takes more time and can take more money.
...then there is the question, "Why can't you do both?"

We saw the lights for the first time this year and WOW! And we spent more than 10-15 minutes. It is amazing. I can't compare it to the CP as we have not done that but I think I would pick the lights. Loved the snow fluttering down as well. It's kind of like a street party and we had a wonderful time.

Obviously everyone is different. For us, we walked through each street, saw a couple songs, watched the snow fall and we were done. 15-20 minutes. I suppose someone could stand there all night just watching them but to see and get what they are, you really only need 30 minutes max to take them all in.

Osborne lights gets our vote as well. It's just an amazing display. Make sure to find the cat and the pig. They are both hidden pretty well this year. And everyone is different, we were there over an hour on one night and then again another night. Try checking it out when it's crowded like around 6:00 and then later in the evening around 8:00 or later while a Fantasmic is in progress. It's like two completely different experiences!!!

Good luck!!!
