Just FYI, we had our lunch with the dining package yesterday which is the first day of the Candlelight Procession at Restaurant Marrakesh in Morocco. At the time of booking, it was said $43.xx after tax for adult, but yesterday the bill came at $59.xx pre tax for adult ($64 after tax). I double checked it was not a mistake. Hope that helps people with more accurate budgeting. Not sure anyone else notice big increase at other restaurant.

BTW, according to mouse for less, it should be $43.xx for lunch too at Restaurant Marrakesh But I guess Disney always say subject to change?

That's the Holiday time up charge??

Did you question it?

If you have your receipt, you could go to guest relations or send an e-mail. They may have charged you for dinner by mistake.

Tracking this thread with interest...please let us know if the prices have indeed gone up from what other websites are quoting. I have the dinner pkg which is supposed to be 53/pp...if the prices are actually higher, I'm out and would like to give someone else the chance to pick up the ADR with plenty of notice. Adding in tax, tip and a couple of glasses wine on top of that is just too much in my opinion.

I did question it, was told by waiter that it is the lunch package price, and it would be over $70 if it were dinner price. Will call when I GET HOME and report back.

Since you are still there, can't you go back and talk with them? Or go to the lobby concierge at your resort (assuming you're onsite) and have them look into it? Guest Services somewhere? It's so much easier to deal with things when you're still there...

(could it be a different pricing structure because it was over the Thanksgiving weekend?)

I am not at home so I cannot check my notes with the EXACT dinner price including tax that I was quoted..
A few weeks ago, I noticed that the prices were OFF!:confused3
When I booked my DINNER package back in July for Chefs de France, WITH TAX, I was quoted by MS something like $79 and change I believe for DINNER CP PACKAGE at CDF which included tax!

DISNEY should have posted the correct prices SOMEWHERE EASILY READABLE ON THE WEB including tax a LONG TIME AGO TO AVOID CONFUSION!:confused3

I agree. Other years they had the 3 levels of restaurants and each had a set price listed.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm curious to know how off the posted prices for other CP restaurants are.
Hopefully those who have been will chime in by posting the prices paid for lunch/dinner at each place.

What about Dining Plans? I was looking to book tonight for something similar and they are charging 2 Table Service meals for the Candlelight Processional Dinner Package, and also 2 Table Service meals for Lunch as well.

Oh my. I have a CP Package ADR for supper at Marrakesh on the 22nd. How can I see if it is charging me for 2 dining credits or just 1?

I think all CP packages, lunch or dinner, have been 2 dining plan credits since 2013. If that is wrong, I am sure someone will correct it.
It tells you when you make the reservation it is 2 credits, and you have to read and agree to the terms to make the reservation. You cannot make the reservation without marking that you have read and agree to the Guest Policies. It also clearly tells you which show you are attending.

I agree that WDW should have clearly posted the prices for all the participating restaurants and variances for lunch/dinner, holidays, etc.
I called twice and the CMs I talked with quoted last year's prices, and said they had no way to know what this year's prices are/:joker:
But that was back in July & August.
I figured I would find out more accurately on these boards.
Thanks for reporting back OP.

"Clearly" you read every single terms and conditions before you click that you agree to them. Honestly, the majority of people do not.

I know you love Disney but there's no need to be so defensive for them. I wasn't throwing a fit about being misled or anything. I simply didn't realize what had happened and asked how I could check to see.

I didn't ask for a lecture on how I should have seen to start with.

I found it. But thanks for not being helpful at all.

For some reason, it seems the Candlelight Processional packages have always been 2 credits.

I remember when it used to be only 1 credit - which made it an incredible value - but it has been 3-4 years since that was the case.

As for mouseforless pricing. While I appreciate that website listing pricing when Disney never did, I wondered where they were getting the prices. No other website that I frequent ever listed actual pricing; just general pricing ranges. I was definitely surprised when Le Chefs de France was only $63.89 for dinner versus Coral Reef @ $69.22.

Today I called just for grins and a CM quoted $79.87 for dinner at Chefs [which JerseyGal mentioned earlier] and $69.22 for Coral Reef; as listed by mouseforless. While I do enjoy guaranteed seating, the dinner packages are starting to get pretty pricey! :scared:

Then the majority of people have no recourse of valid excus for not considering all the terms and conditions of what they're agreeing to. And "you have to..." in the response you were snarky to applies to 'you in general'. That poster was describing the procedure, not what you personally should have done.

I'd like to thank the original poster for this thread because I was originally going to pay out of pocket for this but since mine is a dinner, I honestly think it is worth it more to use the 2 dining credits for this and just pay out of pocket for a couple of my breakfast buffets instead. (I have more reservations than dining credits) With this dinner possibly being upwards of $80 now, that to me is 2 dining credit territory - anything $60+ is basically 2 dining credit territory to me.

Decided to use 2TS at CDF dinner!

CAN'T WAIT!:thumbsup2
Would LOVE to hear feedback about this weekend opening!:)
