I have a candle warmer. I use it frequently. Some of the candles I get, "pop" wax... Does anyone else have this problem. Today, I turned it on with a Bath and Body candle. It was the second time I have used this particular candle on the warmer (it did not pop the last time I used it) and came into the LR and it had 'popped' all over my leather chair! :headache:
Are there certain candles that should not be used with the warmer????

Now my poor chair smells like goo be gone.

Are the candles in jars? Are they gel type candles?

That sounds a little dangerous to me if they are popping out of the jar.

Yes, they are in jars. No, they are not Gel candles. Regular wax as far as I can tell (doesn't say any different on the label). It is the wax that "pops" out.

Makes a hell of a mess.

Did you try using Yankee Candles?

I have tried various types of candles. This is the worse case of "popping" I have had.... The other times it has happened it has been only on the table where the warmer is located. Never went on the chair or wall... This time it is even on the curtain!
I think there was a Yankee in the past, but I really don't remember.

Hmmm what about soy candles?

Hope this helps you.
Bath & body candles are NOT to be used on warmers. The candles are made of vegetable wax and essential oils to get more fragrance when burned, the added oil is what causes the popping when it gets too warm, as oil would if you were cooking. This is straight from the product knowledge handbook, lol...

I think YC are not to be used on warmers either but lots of people do it reguardless.

If it's popping then your warmer might be too hot. Not good!

Why thank you! I didn't get a product knowledge handbook with my candle ;)

Who knew? LOL.

Seriously, do they put that out there somewhere so people would know this? I sure didn't see it.

Thanks so much. I will just burn them from now on (but they are not the only ones that have done this...).

Is there ANY kind that is supposed to be used on a warmer? :confused3

Thanks.

I have a candle warmer like that but got tired of the wax mess it made all over the table so I quit using it. :(

So I am NOT alone?
I guess I will give up too. I never forgot to blow out a candle before. Guess I'll just go back to the old way. I sometimes forget to turn off the warmer :rolleyes1
