after a long battle between my bank balance, my conscience, my parents and my heart, i've had to cancel my florida holiday next summer. i was not impressed but the letter is being written and posted tomorrow :sad1:

So sorry that you had to cancel, but am sure it is for the best too: if it is putting emotional and financial stress on you, then it is not a good time to take the trip to Disney...

I know it is a corny thing to say (because I thought so when my parents said it...!), but you are young and you HONESTLY have so much to look forward to (MANY, MANY trips to Disney and fantastic holidays)... may not be as soon as you like, but it WILL happen

Hope that you find things to keep you happy in the mean time (maybe holidays closer to home). :sunny:

Hi, maybe you could save up over a longer periord and go in 2008, it will still give you something to look forward to.

hi guys, thanks for all of your hugs, you're very kind.

I would rebook for 2008 but I'll be applying to work at EPCOT for the July 08-July 09 season so won't actually need a holiday to go to WDW. I know I will be there for an entire year, but it's not quite the same as being on holiday, and I did want to go just once more as a guest before becoming a CM but no matter. WDW will always be there.

It looks like I am still going on holiday with the girl who stepped in when the first girl dropped out. Sam (the girl who stepped in) wouldnt have been able to go to WDW as she's due to graduate from her PhD while we were due out in the states (which, if you ask me, is a good reason not to go!)....but she has said we will grab a week away somewhere sunny at the beginning of june instead, and we have seen a rather lovely hotel on the Cape Verde Islands. Tourism hasn't hit this collection of hot, sunny, unspoilt islands yet, and we'd be going all inclusive, so more of a relaxation holiday than anything else, but it will be the week after my end of year exams, so I think i'll deserve it by then!

Thanks again for your support, I know it's not the end of the world, but it IS a blow to the system, and yet another addition to my run of recent bad luck!

Cancelling sucks, I know, but sometimes it's the only sensible option! Hopefully you'll be able to plan another trip soon. BTW I've been hearing excellent things about Cape Verde - friends of mine have just bought a property there and can't praise the place enough so I hope that works out for you... :sunny:

sorry to hear you have had to cancel your trip to WDW. Always sucks to cancel, whatever the reason! I have heard great things about Cape Verde Islands, one of my colleagues from work is flying out there on Thursday for 2 weeks!
