That's funny! I guess it dosen't work like other places. We live 20 miles from DC. I can see the Capital building and monuments out my window at work. I have no desire to go into DC.

On a serious tip..... Congrats. Get a SP or AP and enjoy Disney. However, even a day trip is a "trip."

I'm a hour away.. my next trip is tomorrow.

Canceled our November visit to disney an not taking anymore trips to disney.WHY? Bought me a house in Lake Wales 30 mins from disney will be able to go anytime I want maybe for just 1 or 2 attractions or shows. Can get hair cut at harmony barber shop anytime I want.

Right behind you. We close on our new house in Solivita Florida (23 miles from WDW) the end of this month. We'll be selling a couple of our DVC contracts soon. We are going to keep a couple DVC contracts for Vero Beach, Hilton Head and maybe the new Hawaii DVC though. It's a golf cart community so I've been online researching carts for the past few weeks. Houses are soooo cheap there now. Exciting, isn't it?!

This will be our full time home got it for a STEAL so if we want we can buy a small place an still summer here in Barely IN

We are retiring the day before Thanksgiving the lady we buyin house from wants to stay in the house till just after Thanksgiving so that is falling in place really well! The community we buying in has a house for us to use the 2 weeks we down there in Oct to finishing buying 2 weeks for 250.00 fully furnished with washer an dryer an we get to use the community pool an everything get to know our new neighbors etc. We can leave our car there in the RV storage lot fly home till just after thanksgiving an take the truck loaded with what we can get in it that can get wet if it rains pull the harley on the trailer that we already own. House we buying is furnished.... we can stay in the house clean an paint etc ride over to Tampa just before christmas got a friend with a garage that has offered use of her garage for the harley an to take us to airport we fly home for christmas load the stuff we moving to florida in Uhaul an head down right after Christmas. Which will allow my DD to move in over the Christmas holidays she'll have at least before she has to return to work. Once we get the Uhaul unloaded next day DH takes me to my friends house an gets on the harley rides home an I drive back. This could not work out any better for us!

My DD is buying my house but I think when I come back for visits I will stay with an aunt who has plenty of room an is a great country cook!

It's a golf cart community so I've been online researching carts for the past few weeks.

Do you need to license your golf cart? My friend lives in a golf cart community and didn't know she needed a license. She got pulled over in front of the neighbors and had a huge fine. She was a very unhappy camper!

Already got the AP for disney at least thru Sept of 2011 once we in the house an settled I'm gettin me a disney quest pass an we will get a water park pass for after 2pm in the spring or summer.

We have never done those other parks down there might spend some money an explore those after our disney AP's expire.
