I' asking for a family member since she knows calling the 800 number now will be a nightmare for, like, a week or so. She had two concurrent Room Only reservations because she wasn’t sure where they were staying (decided to book where my family is staying). We’re 7 weeks out, so FastPasses have been selected. If she tries to cancel online, it warns her that FP+ tied to that reservation will be canceled. 1) How can she tell which reservation they’re tied to? And 2) if she calls to cancel the one, will the CM on the phone be able to make sure her FP+ are still where they should be once canceled? She will still have an active onsite reservation.

The FP reservations at 60 days are tied to a Disney resort reservation. Any Disney resort will do. As long as she has a reservation at a Disney resort that includes the dates of the FP she has now, she should be ok. If she's worried, though, I'd recommend waiting about 10 days. Once Irma is past, some of the phone congestion will stop. Right now if something goes wrong, she'll wait on hold endlessly.

I recently had two reservations at the Contemporary. I cancelled one at about 55 days out, after I had made my FP selections. I was fine.
