Hi All-

Just trying to get some advice on our 10/2-10/9 trip to Disneyworld. Rain looks like a daily thing but does anyone know if it's the one hour shower or the all day trip ruining kind?:confused3 I can't seem to figure it out based on looking at weather.com. I would love any advice you might have ! Thanks!

Um, how can anyone know exactly how much it will rain? :confused3 Certainly not the meteorologists, that's for sure! Would you be losing out on any $$$ if you cancelled?

If you do go, and it rains all day, every day, you'll still have a great time - the parks won't be as crowded, it should still be warm out, and you won't have to worry about sunburns...

You are kidding? It rains EVERY DAY in Florida don't even look at weather.com you will have a great time.

Sometimes they have a Hourly forecast with percentages, if that helps.

We had a trip in Dec that we had rain most days. It was a bit cold too. We still had a great time!!

I would definetly go and pack ponchos!! There are so many things to do inside when it rains and the forcast changes all the time. There's usually a chance of rain everyday. Linda :)

Go and have fun. It's WDW so even in the rain it is the happiest place on earth. Also... the weather report could change ten times before then.

A rainy day at Disney beats a sunny day at home EVERY TIME in my book! I'd say go for it! :thumbsup2

We were there in August. Rain forecasts were 40-50% every day. We were there for 10 days. We ended up having rain for 20 minutes on 1 day. The rest were beautiful, cloudless, skies.

So, be prepared, but definately GO! Bring disposable ponchos from Academy. They are about .80 each.

We never let rain alter our plans at WDW. We went to MK one day last January when it was raining and rather cool. NO ONE was there. It was awsome. We walked on everything. We wore crocks and poncho and took dry socks. The rain stoped mid morning but the crowds never really picked up much. One of our favorite days ever. Take some "better" ponchos, rain coats for little ones as many do not like ponchos, take a rain cover for the stroller, take caps to wear under the ponchos, take dry socks or wear crocks or other water friendly shoes and have a blast. only cautions is to not walk in wet socks or tennies as DN's got bad blisters that way and watch wet shorts to prevent chaffing. WE also went back to the room to shower and change for dinner when we often so not. go and enjoy!

Thanks you guys! Great advice. I really appreciate all of the imput and it's nice to know that most of you have managed a great day with the rain. :cool1:

Never!

We always take 8, 9, or 10 day WDW trips...the forecast always calls for rain almost every day, & we have NEVER had more than 1 day of rain.

Here's some pixiedust: your way!

Go!!!! On our honeymoon (10 years ago) the only days it didn't rain was the day we stepped off the plane and the day we got back on it. Everyday in between was rain -- most of the day. We still had an AWESOME time. I think that is one of the greatest things about Disney, it still doesn't stop for rain!! Grab some poncho's and GO!

Heaven's no, but the weather report for where I'm at shows rain every day for the next several days too. If I'm going to get rained on, I'd rather be rained on at Disney World! :)

We were there the end of Sept last year. The forecast had called for rain everyday. I guess it may have rained somewhere in WDW everyday, but the only time it rained on us was one day at Epcot for about 20 minutes. I'll be there Sept 29th-Oct 7th (yeah, just two more days to go:cool1: ), so will be there during most of the time you are. We are not concerned about the rain. Like everyone else said, if it does rain it will be for maybe 20 minutes or so, the parks clear out, then after the rain crowds will be nonexistent.

Don't let a little rain stop you from going to the happiest place on earth!
First of all usually it only rains for no more than a couple of hours. You'll be totally fine. Sometimes if a huge storm hits, you can just hide out in shows or rides or in stores. One of the most fun times i ever had at disney was when it was raining! We went to the pirate and princess party andeveryone was too afraid to go out in the storm. When it let up a little bit we ran out to go on rides and do stuff. There were no waits at all on any of the rides. IT was awesome. It raining can make it more magical! So GO GO GO to disney and have an awesome time!!!

If you read the weather today there are no chance of showers. Just sun. Wouldn't you kick yourself if you cnacelled for rain and it didn't rain at all.

I agree and wanted to add that stroller covers are WONDERFUL! The first night of our Nov 2006 trip was rainy and we only had ponchos with us. We used one to cover the stroller, but dd kept popping her head out. The actual rain covers made for strollers are clear, so she could see out. They also cover more but they are ventilated. We also had rain in the forecast almost every day and it rained once or twice in the 8 days we were there. We brought the stroller cover every day just in case.
