Cancel reservation with one time use points

What would happen if you had to cancel a reservation if you bought one time use points? I know I can't bank them, but would I still be able to use them before my use year was up?

Found this information on the DVC member site. Looks as though you are OK up until the end of the UY in which the reservation currently exists:

One-time-use vacation points expire according to the use year of the reservation booked and are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be banked or borrowed.
