Cancel Hotel = Cancel PS?

A friend of mine has reservations to stay at Disney at the same time we are staying there. She may need to cancel her reservations completely now. If she cancels her hotel reservations, will she automatically lose her priority seating arrangements also? Or will those still be booked? (I'm hoping I can just be her and take her PS reservations.) She booked through a TA on a package deal if that makes any difference. tia

No, a reservation for a room may be cancelled and it will not affect your PS... they must be cancelled or amended separately.

***The only problem is that you said her arrangements were made by a TA, who, when she cancels the room or package reservation, will likely go ahead and cancel everything at the same time. When you book with a TA, you (as the guest) have no control, as Disney Travel Company will only deal with the TA, which can be a big drawback.***

You may be better off making your own PS, that way you can gear them toward your tastes and touring schedule.

thanks for the info. I know her TA made her PS arrangements (similar to what Dreams does), so I'm guessing they would all be canceled together. Is that what Dreams does also? (Cancel PS if a client cancels the vacation?) Thanks!

Yes, they cancel everything at once. Have fun picking your meals, and making your PS. Just make sure to confirm them before you go. We have found that through a communications glitch that some of our times and days got mixed up. Easily fixed, if you catch it before the day of your meal.
