Hi! We had Canadian resident park hoppers for Disneyland booked for April 2020 that we are FINALLY going to use this coming April instead.

I vaguely remember reading somewhere way back then that we had to bring our Canadian passports on the first day to use these tickets.

Anyone know if that is true, and if so, if that is still the case? I was going to call Disney and ask but figured you all might have an idea first.

TIA!

If you're using Canadian Resident rate tickets, yes you need to bring your passport to the ticket booth before they will issue your tickets.

We used our drivers licence and nothing for the kids and that seemed to work. I didn't feel comfortable carrying the passports around. But I guess to be sure you may want to bring them. We may have just gotten an easy going cast member.

Add them to the app, it’s so much easier! Was just there on Sunday if you have any questions) :charac4: Webslingers is great fun!

if you go to the 3 lines in the bottom right corner, then tickets and passes. You should be able to enter the barcode and see them on the app. You then need to make a park reservation (which park you'll start in if you have hoppers). They are limiting numbers so you should do this soon :)

Oh yes! I didn't see how to upload to the app. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, we have reservations already, so all set there.

Thanks!

We have used these in the past. Take your ID and go straight to the turnstiles. No need to stop at the ticket booth first.
Wouldn’t her ticket be expired now? Back when they had Canadian offer, I had a ticket but was unable to go, my ticket expired and on next visit I had to go to guest relations and pay the difference for new ticket. This was pre Covid.

No. We called and talked to guest relations. We expected this to happen, as it expired and we assumed we just would have to pay the difference. We were told they extended them since the border was closed and we were not supposed to be travelling; so the Canadian ticket was unusable beyond our control.

Basically because covid and the border.

We weren't told the exact date until they were all extended, for other Canadian resident ticket-holders, but we are guessing the end of May based on previous extensions.

From Disneyland's website:
"
  • If you purchased a promotional 2020 Canada Resident Ticket or Australia/New Zealand Resident Ticket, and have not used it, the expiration date will be extended until December 15, 2022, and the ticket will expire 13 days after first use or December 15, 2022, whichever occurs first. Guests who made their first visit between February 28 and March 13, 2020, but did not reach their ticket's maximum number of uses, will have the 13-day expiration period of their promotional tickets extended to December 15, 2022.

Perfect, thanks! That answers that. :)

We were pleasantly surprised.

Due to covid, Canadian resident tickets expiry date was extended to Dec 15, 2022.
