Canadian DVCers

Sorry I am going off topic here, does anyone know where I can find a notary Public to sign the Deed of Trust for a DVC add-on?? I am Financing a new add-on and the paper work need to be notarized. My spouse and I work same hours and he works across the border, there is no way we can to go together to get this done during 7-5 M-F. I can't seems to find any lawyer office opens afterhour. Any idea?

If your spouse works in New York, perhaps he can find one in his workplace or nearby?

Unlike Canada, becoming a Notary Public is much easier here in the US. As such, it's much more common - the most random people have the legal qualifications to do so. Just ask around.

Or is this one of those things that needs to be notarised in Canada?

It's May 19 already, what happend to the promise "They will be sent out around late February to mid March"??

Nothing here either, but...

Actually, I've never used it to plan/book my vacations. My children like to look through it for the photos. But other than that it collects dust.

Actually, I know a lot of members love getting them. But I wish there was an opt out option for those of us who don't really need it. (I tend to rely on the members' website for info anyways.) It would definitely save on paper and postage ---- which will eventually save on dues.

Haven`t received them yet in QC.

I have heard that the planner where paid by some marketing department at Disney and not out of our dues.

Got my vacation planner on Tuesday. Nothing special as it is the same as other years. I get my info from the members website and they could forget about sending these planners out.

I'm not so sure about that. A few years ago, I was changing my reservations a few times and asked if they would not bother to send me the confirmation letter until I call to let them know. We got in the topic of saving paper and postage and she said that it was something they were considering....yet, it's been a few years now and we're still getting it...:confused3:sad2:

We got in the topic of the planners and I suggested that it would probably be cost effective if they only sent them out to members who request them. She somewhat chuckled and told me that members would get very upset when it was late, she can't imagine any not wanting them since we pay for them. I know we pay for the mailings for the association. I believed that the planners were part of this since it's used predominately by members. I was under the impression that these were in the same category as the DisneyFiles (which I believe are given only to members).

I do think that the mailings of brochures, booklets, etc that show resorts and nonspecific info about DVC are part of Disney's marketing department, but I believe the planners are guide books which are mostly given to members, soon to be members, or interested parties.

But to be honest, I hope you're correct. I would prefer that we didn't pay for it. Do you remember where you heard or read that it was funded by the marketing department at Disney and not by the members? I would appreciate it. :)

We still haven't received a thing, although today we did get the lithograph from 'watching' the webcast.

We received our planner today. I've already used all my 2010 and 2011 points and most of my 2012 points between three trips - one that just passed three months ago and two more in Nov then March. So to me it is a waste of paper when all the info I need is on the member site.

No planner yet

Still waiting in Chatham......but I am glad to hear they are starting to trickle in to Canada.

Fellow Cdn Disers, I am in WDW now and tried to get a copy from the preview centre in Saratoga Springs and guess what? NOTHING! They have none available to give out. So I have to go home and continue to wait!
