Canadian Buffoon's Solo Disney Vacation - Update 07/08! pp99 - Here today gone tomorrow

BOG, Fantastic that is worth losing points over...well almost...You had better have had one more dole whip or I am done with you:rotfl2:

I may have had another Dole whip before the trip was done... :rolleyes1

Maybe....

slight chance.

perhaps.

I am going with 20,000 leagues under the sea...oh wait maybe not

Oh, man! If only!
I loved that ride!
:sad1:

hmmmm so I am going with Buzz Light year Space Ranger Spin only because I don't think you need a fastpass on the Walt Disney Railroad train but Stitch is a close 2nd...

I am staying with Crystal palace or Casey's...

Gotcha.

Hmmm... I guess this means I should start working on the next chapter...

And even if I am wrong I bet you ended your meal with "a wafer thin mint" :)

:thumbsup2

Ok, sadly I am going back to work

Sadly... I are at work!
(On a break though... woot!)

Darn it, Ponzi! Stop writing so fast! I don't have time to respond and I'm losing points by the minute!

Darn it, Ponzi! Stop writing so fast! I don't have time to respond and I'm losing points by the minute!

I'm already going as slow as I possibly can!
And it's killing me!

I have to change my ride guess. No FP+ for TTA. Sigh! So, I'm going with "Meet Ariel in her Grotto", since you seem to be a fanboy.

I have to change my ride guess. No FP+ for TTA. Sigh! So, I'm going with "Meet Ariel in her Grotto", since you seem to be a fanboy.

Who me?

Well..... maybe.

Okay. I'm showing your official guess for the next ride as meeting Ariel.

Woohoo...caught up again! A girl takes a night off to rest and she has another 5 pages of trip report to catch up with when she gets back (yes, it seems that I like to refer to myself in the third person lol)

Fellow trip report readers - I've noticed that if you give enough wrong answers, ponzi gets exasperated and starts giving clues...or at least organizing the clues in one post for us!

So, I got on the score board ... yippee! Let's see how I do when I'm not on cold meds!

I say...you went to CHH, didn't have the broccoli (cause you can make that at home...see I pay attention!) but had the shrimp instead and then went on Jungle Cruise.

Woohoo...caught up again! A girl takes a night off to rest and she has another 5 pages of trip report to catch up with when she gets back (yes, it seems that I like to refer to myself in the third person lol)

pkondz would never do that. He just wouldn't.

DANG IT!!!

Fellow trip report readers - I've noticed that if you give enough wrong answers, ponzi gets exasperated and starts giving clues...or at least organizing the clues in one post for us!

Yes.
I did say I was going to make this one easy.
(Not a sure thing... just... easy.)

But I'm starting to wonder...
Trying to take advantage of me, eh?

I can fix that.

I have some things coming up that people are not. going. to. believe.

So, I got on the score board ... yippee! Let's see how I do when I'm not on cold meds!

Probably not as well...

Meds make everything better.

I say...you went to CHH, didn't have the broccoli (cause you can make that at home...see I pay attention!)

Good girl.

but had the shrimp instead and then went on Jungle Cruise.

Okay, got it.

Darn it, Ponzi! Stop writing so fast! I don't have time to respond and I'm losing points by the minute!

No, write faster - I've finally gained on Laura! Ya snooze, ya lose!

I got that Monty Python refrence since that's the only one I've seen. "What's wrong with a kiss?" I don't like or get British humor, can't stand Mr. Bean. I do like their mysteries though.

I'm on DayQuil and feeling somewhat better. I don't like NyQuil though because it gives me weird dreams and I have trouble sleeping when I stop taking it.

No, write faster - I've finally gained on Laura! Ya snooze, ya lose!

I'm being pulled in so many directions! :faint:

I got that Monty Python refrence since that's the only one I've seen. "What's wrong with a kiss?"

And then you went..... there.

Now someone who doesn't know that one's going to Google it!

I don't like or get British humor, can't stand Mr. Bean. I do like their mysteries though.

Interesting.
I love British humour, although I haven't seen much.
Benny Hill, Monty Python (of course), Mr. Bean... that might be it.
Don't think I've seen any of their mysteries.

I'm on DayQuil and feeling somewhat better.

Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better.
Keep getting better! :)

I don't like NyQuil though because it gives me weird dreams and I have trouble sleeping when I stop taking it.

Take some and tell us what you dreamt. That should be entertaining.

Columbia Harbor House!!!

Which is great that you're all so in tune with each other!
But not so much with me.
Who knows, maybe later?
Ha ha! Suckers! I knew it wasn't CHH!

Ah yes.
The Pork Shank.
Of which many praises have been sung.
Now this... this... was a meal worthy of my hunger.

But it'll have to wait for another time.

What??? :confused3
That's right! Of course, he wasn't eating at Gaston's! I knew it!!!

Aww, pkondz channeling his inner tween!

Which means some of you know I'm heading to Cosmic Ray's, right?
Of course you're not!

Wait, what?

Isn't that what I picked?

Hang on.........

Yep, yep, that's what I picked. :furious:

"Mr. pkondz? Welcome to Be Our Guest. I see you've already pre-ordered.
Help yourself to a fountain drink, pick up some cutlery
and have a seat anywhere you'd like in the ballroom."
:furious:

(Skimp on my cheese and I'll skimp on coming back.)
This I can support - I feel this way about every meal!

RGirl - 1 point for gone fishing.
I will take ANY point for ANY reason given my heretofore somewhat less than stellar performance!

Rgirl 9 points
Okay, I thought you had left me off the list entirely. I scanned the bottom third for a good minute before I realized that I was somehow above that. I secretly question whether a mistake was made here, but I'm not going to say that out loud. :tiptoe:

I was trying to make another FP+ and wasn't having much luck.
I couldn't recall if you could or could not make additional FP+'s with MDE.
And you can't.
This bugs the heck out of me. In case you were wondering....

I moseyed over to an open kiosk and got a FP+ for...
Well, HM of course!
Um, moseyed???? Did someone run over your foot with a stroller or something? :confused3

the Tangled Tinkle Spot* (*Registered TM, Rob.)
Go Rob!

When Kay was four, she sat beside me, watching raptly and trying to catch floating gems.
Oh, gosh. I know how you were feeling. This sentence made me realize that the last 3D show or two we have seen, Willow hasn't done that. :sad1:

I looked around for an open spot, and noticed there was no one
up on the stocks (those holes everyone puts their heads and arms through.)
I climbed up and leaned back against them.
This would be a good spot, I figured.
VERY nice staking out of a good spot without spending an hour waiting. I'm taking notes.....

As they marched by, another gentleman joined me on the stocks.
"Is that it?" He asked.
I almost. Almost! Told him yes.
I'm not sure I could have resisted this opportunity...... :rolleyes1

REALLY? I actually read this update back-to-back with Rob's updates. Let's just say that I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to see someone for Mermaid-Induced PTSD now.

It's symbolic of how captive parents feel while waiting in line
to see Anna and Elsa.
You have NO idea how correct you are! :faint:

For those that don't know, A Pirate's Adventure is similar to
the Agent P game in Epcot (or the former Kim Possible)
A sign that I have been completely DLR-focused for the past year - I had no idea that this even existed. Very unlike me - the whole FP+ brouhaha has really put me off my usual need to stay up-to-date on all things WDW, I guess.

1. What is my FP+ for?
I've already told you it's a ride.
I'll even tell you it's for a ride I haven't been on yet.
I'll even rule out Magic Carpets of Aladdin (<shudder> seven. times. in. a. row.)
I have been so off all day. In honor of Courtney, whom I truly hope will be a skipper the next time we walk into MK, I'm going with the Jungle Cruise!

2. Where did I eat supper?
It's been a little while since lunch already, starting to get hungry again.
I've already told you where I'm eating next.
Well, I at least narrowed it down.
And if that's still not enough, I can tell you that I did not have an ADR this time.
Aww, you Canadians and your "supper."

I have no idea. I'm going to go with the CS place that the DxDDP makes me walk by wistfully, wishing I had the appetite to stop in for a simple and delectable burger. That would be Pecos Bill's Tall Tale Inn and Cafe.

3. Might as well tell me what I ate.
Just one correct main item will suffice to get a point.
And that's all the clues you get for that one.
And I'm going to go with what I would order, because it would obviously be the best choice: The Angus Bacon Cheeseburger (I would order mine without the "cheese," but I'm not going to specify that for you) with fries and plenty of awesome fixin's from the bar.

I JUST started reading your latest post and woo hoo! I guessed right! Should've guessed you would order meat though. I'm so glad you went to BOG. It's worth going just for the atmosphere. We ate dinner in the library there a few years ago.

Ha ha! Suckers! I knew it wasn't CHH!

You're so smart!

That's right! Of course, he wasn't eating at Gaston's! I knew it!!!

It's like you could read my mind!

Aww, pkondz channeling his inner tween!

If I said "same" what would you think of that?

Of course you're not!

Wait, what?

Isn't that what I picked?

Hang on.........

Yep, yep, that's what I picked. :furious:

Disregard first two replies.

At least you're taking your defeat like a champ.

Okay, I thought you had left me off the list entirely. I scanned the bottom third for a good minute before I realized that I was somehow above that. I secretly question whether a mistake was made here, but I'm not going to say that out loud. :tiptoe:

I went back and re-tabulated, just to see.

Round 1 - 0 points awarded
Round 2 - 0 points awarded
Round 3 - 4 points awarded for guessing first two rides, in order, correctly. Plus 2 bonus points.
Round 4 - 0 points awarded
Round 5 - 2 points awarded for guessing MK and 7DMT (incorrect order)
Round 6 - 1 bonus point awarded

So yup. 9 points.

This bugs the heck out of me. In case you were wondering....

I mentioned that I think it's because Disney assumes
everyone has access to a computer before they leave home,
but not everyone has a smart phone or iPod/iPad/whatever.

Um, moseyed???? Did someone run over your foot with a stroller or something? :confused3

I was wondering if anyone would notice if I changed it up.

I actually sashayed.

Oh, gosh. I know how you were feeling. This sentence made me realize that the last 3D show or two we have seen, Willow hasn't done that.

They grow up fast.
Hang on to 'em for all your worth.

VERY nice staking out of a good spot without spending an hour waiting. I'm taking notes.....

It may have been a one off.
For all I know, this was the only time that spot was open all year.

I'm not sure I could have resisted this opportunity...... :rolleyes1

It was tough. And I almost didn't resist.

REALLY? I actually read this update back-to-back with Rob's updates. Let's just say that I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to see someone for Mermaid-Induced PTSD now.

I had a good laugh when I read Rob's last chapter.
We seem to be a little alike in some ways. :rolleyes1

A sign that I have been completely DLR-focused for the past year - I had no idea that this even existed. Very unlike me - the whole FP+ brouhaha has really put me off my usual need to stay up-to-date on all things WDW, I guess.

UOG. That's all I've gotta say.

I have been so off all day. In honor of Courtney, whom I truly hope will be a skipper the next time we walk into MK, I'm going with the Jungle Cruise!

Oh, man! Can you imagine if she got that???
That would be so cool.
I'd be like, "I know her."

elf_zpszdtojbs7.jpg

Sorry.
Anyway, got your guess.

Aww, you Canadians and your "supper."

When someone says "I had _____ for dinner."
I never know if they mean lunch or supper.

I have no idea. I'm going to go with the CS place that the DxDDP makes me walk by wistfully, wishing I had the appetite to stop in for a simple and delectable burger. That would be Pecos Bill's Tall Tale Inn and Cafe.

Okay.

All righty then.

I JUST started reading your latest post and woo hoo! I guessed right!

Yes you did.
Well done.
I didn't make it easy, either.

Should've guessed you would order meat though.

Man cook meat with fire.
Meat good.
Man eat meat.

I'm so glad you went to BOG. It's worth going just for the atmosphere. We ate dinner in the library there a few years ago.

That's what I've been saying.
It's worth going just to look around.
They really did a nice job with this one.

I started my life in Minnesota and we ate Supper in the evening. Dinner was a big hot lunch but lunch was a lighter meal. Lots of people here in Texas refer to Supper too. When we moved to the West coast, we were really confused when someone invited us for dinner, never sure what they meant

Hmmm.... Well since I'm in such a clue giving mood...
Perhaps you'll recall how I mentioned that I had to skip Space?
Due to neck issues?
My physiotherapist told me to skip it or ride it only at the end of the trip?

Still want to go with Space?
Up to you of course.
You might be... you know... wrong, though.

Ok, fine. Obviously I'm a moron, and can't remember details like your back issues. Dang it. Well, ok, fine, you didn't go on SM, unless you had a sudden, miraculous healing that you haven't revealed yet. Let's go with something more tame like Jungle Cruise. I apologize to those who may have already guessed that. I wouldn't know who that is, since I'm strapped for time in reading.

Oh my gosh! I am so behind :worship:my humblest apologies. Must. Catch. Up....

I am so going to win this competition.......erm.....

There, see? It's not just us!
Actually, Canada is such a melting pot,
that I'm quite sure there are places that don't use the "supper" term.

Ok, fine. Obviously I'm a moron,

I stopped reading right there.

So nice to know that I'm not the only one around here.

Well, ok, fine, you didn't go on SM, unless you had a sudden, miraculous healing that you haven't revealed yet.

And I just had a vision of the heavens opening and a chorus of angels singing.

So, it coulda happened.

Let's go with something more tame like Jungle Cruise. I apologize to those who may have already guessed that. I wouldn't know who that is, since I'm strapped for time in reading.

That's okay @Steppesister. I know just how crazy busy you are right now.
But I've got your guess now.

Oh my gosh! I am so behind :worship:my humblest apologies. Must. Catch. Up....

You are hereby sentenced to thirty minutes sitting in the corner.
With an iPad or laptop so you can catch up.

I am so going to win this competition.......erm.....

You still could. It's never too late.
Well, mathematically, it will be too late at some point...
But that point isn't now!

Here we go.......
Well, there was that fancy schmancy meal where I had a blackberry sorbet
between courses as a palate cleanser.
I am seriously hoping you sashayed to said schmancy meal?!
Epcot on day 3.
Woo hoo.....

Except that didn't quite work out.
Excuse me?????

Day 3. MK
Booooooooo...:confused3

Shorts and a T-shirt are all I need.
(Most Canadians are like this: ::yes::
You would so get on with Geordies - white T shirt in all weathers...sheeesh!
The vast majority of you are rejoicing that you picked MK in the bonus round...
sorry Tammie, Claire.

it's like the weight of the world is lifted off your shoulders.
That is such a good description of the feeling. Sigh.
Still, you'd think he'd feel it when my nose brushed the back of his neck.
Ewwww! Hilarious!
And even though I knew what was coming... I thoroughly enjoyed it!
We've never made it to the opening show yet but really hoping to this year :woohoo:
I'm making supper and chopping onions.
Plus I have dust in my eyes.
....yeah....yeah....sure you have.....

No! No! Go right ahead sir! There's absolutely no way anyone could be behind you.
And even if they were, they couldn't possibly be anywhere near as important as you!!
:lmao: I so think this about way too many people!

End dream sequence
:rotfl2:

And to those I say, humbly and respectfully...
Shut the heck up. (And I wouldn't say "heck", either.)
I couldn't agree more - if you're getting to the stage of moaning a lot about Disney then maybe take a little break before returning to appreciate the magic properly!

I crossed the bridge and headed straight towards the Tea Cups.
<shudder>
My DH agrees with you on that one.

Didn't see that one coming, didja!
Let me clarify....you are asking to see if we saw Pooh coming??? Yes???? Sounds messy.

You can actually turn to someone and say "Urine the Poo line."
:rotfl:

Ha! Put this in a multi quote and now can't remember what it referred to - excellent - well done me. Anyway, you're forgiven :confused3

Crowdfund me to go back
Nice thinking....

(Get it? Dwarfs? Shortchanged? ... nevermind.)
Where is the 'facepalm' emoticon when you need it?

The new queue is... marvelous!
Ooooooh exciting - and now you've made me have to wait in it this August. If my DD begins to get bored then I WILL BLAME YOU!!!

As per usual, I held up my right index finger
How charming!

That's right! A woman eating something!!!!
(Or possibly measuring the width of her tongue.
Awesome!

Scoobymoons - Epcot - Soarin, Spaceship Earth, Test Track - sorry
:scared1:

if you notice a mistake, let me know!
Yes.....I didn't get any points.....what do you mean I got every single thing wrong?.....surely you must be mistaken.....no?

Is there anything sadder than a dry flume ride?
Yes, a Scoobymoons with no points....

George is following you.....
Pretty sure I've never used the term "lickety split" before.
It is a much underused phrase!

One of the things I get a kick out of here is,
I pointed out to a Mom how Leota's eyes open and her face moves a bit.
She immediately tells her kids, another young couple start to watch,
a few more people start to look, little kids go running back to their parents
to tell them what "they've" discovered.
All part of that Disney magic, right?
Love that sort of thing - there's nothing like some sharing of the details :goodvibes

And no. I would never ever take a flash photo while it was moving.
Or even in a better area.
Still.... yeah, I feel a bit guilty about it still....
I find that people are the worst on Under the Sea - honestly, I want to leap into their clamshell and stab them with a dinglehopper....

Where did I go for lunch?
I guess Be Our Guest which you got a FP for and felt guilty for walking past the saps on the bridge and where you sat in the Ballroom, had the onion soup, braised pork and master's cup cake before wandering around the other dining areas including the West Wing where you may or may not have taken a picture of the painting that needs repairing..... it's only a guess....a hunch.....

I guess it depends on the streaker.
Always! It always depends on the streaker...

I spotted Gaston out and about and snapped a quick pic for the ladies.
Really looking forward to meeting him again - such an amazing interaction. DD really didn't know how to react to him - made it even funnier.
Photo0229FourBySix.jpg

Plus.
I have an aversion to dying.
You are sooooo fussy....

So the correct answer to the bonus question would be:
BOG!
I was right - yay! What do you mean I cheated??????

I have no friends.

"About ten feet to your left."
I looked right and spotted them immediately.
"You mean my other left?" I asked.
We have this same conversation with DD just about every day...

might as well see Mickey's P
Glory be!
Have I mentioned how much I love this ride?
Which ride - no I don't think so....please clarify. Or not.....

So here's the parade, barfed out just for you.
Lovely verb choice!

Oh, and I may have taken one or two of a certain favourite... float...
This MADE ME LAUGH very hard indeed. In fact I have re read that section multiple times now. Well played!

Whoopsie! Somehow used up my photo allotment for this post.
How did that happen?
:confused3

Either way, I did not see the dragon breathe fire.
It was probably concerned about the flammable nature of your camera barf....
I passed this guy along the way.

DSC08558_zpssyqkf4tq.jpg
Oh he's fab...Who's the guy behind him???

I did not answer the CM's query as to why I was soaking wet.
The less she knew, the better...)
Probably best

What is my FP+ for?
Well, let me read your next update and then I'll.....oh ok I'll play nicely....

Jungle Cruise

Where did I eat supper?

CHH

Might as well tell me what I ate.

Shrimp of the fried variety.

Knowing my luck though, you went off piste and got a FP+ at Tower of Terror and ate at Rose and Crown.

Was totally intending to update my PTR this evening but reckon that's out of the window now....going to go back and look at Ariel float pics again....

Here we go.......

Great! You bring the wine, I'll bring the food!

I am seriously hoping you sashayed to said schmancy meal?!

Actually.... no. I was driven. By my sister, actually.

You would so get on with Geordies - white T shirt in all weathers...sheeesh!

I don't think I own a white T-shirt.
But I do wear a T-shirt.... uh.... always.

Yes, even in winter when it's -40.

We've never made it to the opening show yet but really hoping to this year :woohoo:

It's really a nice way to start your day.
And you can't do it if you need to be first on a popular ride... and you don't have a FP+.

....yeah....yeah....sure you have.....

I swear! It was the onions!
:lmao: I so think this about way too many people!

Great minds think alike.

Which doesn't explain why mine does... but I'll take it.

if you're getting to the stage of moaning a lot about Disney then maybe take a little break before returning to appreciate the magic properly!

Good point.
I was just so excited to be there, it had been so long,
that if a rhino had escaped from AK and charged down Main St. at me
I just would've taken it in stride.
"Look! I have multiple fractures and a dislocated... everything... but I'm in Disney!!!"

My DH agrees with you on that one.

I'm positive this is how it happened...

Disney: "We need something to awe people."
Imagineers: "How about a castle?"
Disney: "Good. Now we need something to make 'em smile."
Imagineers: "How about IASW?"
Disney: "Good. (Even Disney gets it wrong from time to time.)
Now how about something to give 'em a fun scare?"
Imagineers: "Haunted Mansion?"
Disney: "Perfect. Something to make them puke?"
Imagineers: "Spinning Tea Cups."
Disney: "That'll do it all right. Now, how about..."
etc.

Let me clarify....you are asking to see if we saw Pooh coming??? Yes???? Sounds messy.

Yes... Yes it does.
As long as it doesn't come running.

Ha! Put this in a multi quote and now can't remember what it referred to - excellent - well done me. Anyway, you're forgiven :confused3

Awesome! I was so worried!
When can I expect it?

Where is the 'facepalm' emoticon when you need it?

facepalm_zpsb4hvgtwd.gif
I know... because I had to use it the other day. :sad2:
Don't ask.

Ooooooh exciting - and now you've made me have to wait in it this August. If my DD begins to get bored then I WILL BLAME YOU!!!

Oh, sure. Now were back on "Blame Canada" again!

How charming!

And yet, when I hold up my other finger, people tell me it's not quite as charming.
Go figure.

Yes.....I didn't get any points.....what do you mean I got every single thing wrong?.....surely you must be mistaken.....no?

Sorry.... no.

Yes, a Scoobymoons with no points....

Awww... poor Claire.
Well, you know how to get some if you want some.

George is following you.....

Eep! I hope not!!

It is a much underused phrase!

I've always thought so.
Shenanigans. Also woefully underused.

I find that people are the worst on Under the Sea - honestly, I want to leap into their clamshell and stab them with a dinglehopper....

Oh, don't do that!

Wait until I can watch.... then do it!

Wow! It's like you were there!
That's really amazing!!

Always! It always depends on the streaker...

::yes::

Really looking forward to meeting him again - such an amazing interaction. DD really didn't know how to react to him - made it even funnier.

But what a great (and adorable) picture!! :goodvibes
Thanks so much for sharing!

You are sooooo fussy....

Meh.
Been there, done that.

I was right - yay! What do you mean I cheated??????

You did?
Oh.

And here I was going to give you a schwack of bonus points.

Oh, well.

Thanks! :goodvibes

We have this same conversation with DD just about every day...

Lovely verb choice!

Appropriate, don't you think?

This MADE ME LAUGH very hard indeed. In fact I have re read that section multiple times now. Well played!

Thankyouverymuch. (I need a "take a bow" smiley... and not this one -> :worship:)

It was probably concerned about the flammable nature of your camera barf....

Oh..... So that's what happened.

Sorry to everyone in MK that day! My bad!

Oh he's fab...Who's the guy behind him???

I thought it was Jerry Seinfeld in a puffy shirt.

jerry-seinfeld_zps2s9jl3gh.jpg

Well, let me read your next update and then I'll.....oh ok I'll play nicely....

Jungle Cruise

Okay...

All righty...

Shrimp of the fried variety.

Got 'em all.

Knowing my luck though, you went off piste and got a FP+ at Tower of Terror and ate at Rose and Crown.

 Nah. I stayed in MK.
Your guesses are in the right ball park... er. Park.

Was totally intending to update my PTR this evening but reckon that's out of the window now....going to go back and look at Ariel float pics again....

Time well spent, I assure you.

It took me forever but I think I've read it all!! Is there anything you haven't tried at Disney yet??? I guess they keep coming up with new things...but...you have sure done a lot!! It will take me a few more trips lol...gotta get on that!
