I won't soon forget this day.
Some bad things happened.
I'm still scratching my head on what bad things happened????
OK I started writing my responses before I had read all your shout outs. Now I see you explained it later.
But I dutifully slammed a pillow down on her head around 8:30.
She got up at 8:35!
I couldn't believe it!
That's an interesting method for waking someone up. I don't think that would go over well for me.
(corner room, remember? No? Why not?
Are you not hanging on to every single word I type?)
Well of course I am!
Five ducks were waddling across the intersection in single file.
Obviously, Donald, Daisy and Huey, Dewey, and Louie.
Well obviously.
A word to the wise. If you buy a sewing kit at WDW,
just throw out the scissors and use your teeth.
Trust me. You'll thank me for it.
Noted. Never used moleskin, don't remember actually having any blisters. I'm such a wuss that my feet and legs give out before I can get blisters!
Total wait time for the morning bus: zero minutes.
It was 9:56am.
I think my guess is still gonna be way off! Unless you have a couple long waits coming up.
We were briefly held up as the guard asked a CM if my
Gorilla pod was allowed. It was. It doesn't extend.
I had to Google this. It looks quite handy! I may put this on my Christmas list.
Splash! And walked right on by it since our FP was for BTMRR.
Ugh! I better get better at my answers in this contest.
(And some of you are already mentally calculating your points...
No rope drop, BTMRR, 7DMT and... what? What??????)
Yup.
After riding what is arguably one of the best rides in Disney,
(and if you argue that it isn't, you will officially be deducted two points)
No argument there.
Kay had some Shi Jo King and I had the Hai Am Ki Ding
I'm sure glad you explained this one because I was just thinking WHAT????????
Great photo though! I am going to have to get more creative and bring props for future shots! I love that idea! I have a ton of those Chinese food containers, bought them at the Costco business outlet for a catering thing once and only used about a dozen. I still have like a hundred of them left!
Are you not in awe??
Bonus points if you say you are.
Be superfluous wit
This is an incredible idea! I have the utmost respect for you and can't believe how you came up with it! I don't even have a playlist, so there would be a whole learning curve there for me, I'm now wanting to learn how to figure it out! I do love your choices of music as well. I have some very fond adolescent memories of happenings while listening to AC/DC and you can never go wrong with the Who. Kay's music, well I do have to say that I am woefully out of touch. I'm not sure I could tell you about any band beyond the mid 70's and I have not heard of the groups you mentioned that she listened to. I have been exposed to a few tunes, via the Classic Rock station, of bands who came later, but I'm not familiar with much new rock beyond 1980. The idea of Rockin' through IASW really intrigues me and I'm going to have figure out how to try it some time. I'm sure the entire ride has a completely different feel to it!
Be Our Guest!
"Hey! Wait a second! You said you didn't get an ADR for BOG!
What gives?!? We want our money back!"
I'm going to have to realize that if you can pull the wool over our eyes, and bait and switch you'll do it every time!
The Braised Pork with a Master's Cupcake for dessert.
As the previous time I had this, I really enjoyed it.
Kay was a little less enthusiastic about her meal,
it was a little too rich for her.
I think I might try this when we (hopefully) get a dinner ADR here in May.
He's an ugly little critter, isn't he?
And yet... if you look at him, you sort of pity him a little, don't you?
But enough about me. Moving on with our story...

:rotfl
"Dad, can we ride the tea cups?" She innocently asked.

If it's simply a problem with puking, that's easy. I have Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo and things like spinning can trigger it. I made the mistake of riding Forbidden Journey at US/IOA and was dizzy and sick for about 2 hours afterwards. Not fun. At least if you just get motion sickness, you feel better once the contents have evacuated the person. ;laughing:
The fish, being not dense, tell her it's actually an ornate flask,
but tell her it's filled with a magical wishing potion.
Of course it's actually filled with 80 proof vodka...
I think Tequila would be more fun, she'd be spinning those sea shells over her head in a heartbeat! Or better yet make it Mezcal and she'd be looking for another worm!
Because what self-respecting guy is gonna buy a drink
for a chick with a fin instead of legs? Am I right?
Yeah, I would. But I said "self-respecting"...
You beat us to the punch!
Well, at least they all lived happily ever after.
At least until he finds out that she drinks like a fish.
But that's another ride.
I definitely like this story better, but I think it may explain a few things about my life. My Dad never put a Trident where the sun didn't shine on my behalf, and now I know why my relationships with men didn't work out, they don't like a gal who drinks like a fish! hic!
What ride do we try to ride, but it's closed?
Ugh, here we go again! I'm going to guess Space Mountain since another reader who was there at a similar time posted that PotC was down for rehab.
What ride do we go on instead?
Here I'm going to say CoP because now it's your turn to go on one you want to do, and you want another chance at the song that eluded you from the last trip.
Do we get a FP for Ariel? Or not?
Yes.
We do have another meal, you know.
It's in MK and it's an ADR.
And it's not BOG!
So, where is it?
Ugh. Plaza? See I was real sure about all this, but then people started saying Plaza for ice Cream and other restaurants for dinner. I'm guessing you needed read sustenance by the time that you went to Plaza and you had real food.
We have a third ADR for later in the evening.
It's not in MK, or any park, or in DTD.
Guesses?
I'm going to say O'hana, but only for the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding, because Bread Pudding, not the whole dinner service. My other thought was that you had the ice cream at the Plaza and then went to Kona for dinner because Kay loves Chinese food, and even though there is a lot of sushi, it's rather Pan Asian cuisine and could sort of be Chinese food.
Do we stay for Wishes? Or does our ADR prevent that?
I'm guessing that if you do actually go to O'hana, you either see the fireworks from the dining room, or you finish in time to go out to the beach and see the fireworks.
OMG.....you just saved my a$$. I had replied to all the little quotes and for some reason clicked away from the page. Oh yeah, Because in the "threads they think I should like" there is this freakish picture (obviously someone's profile) that I want to go away. I freaks me out to look at it, and I thought maybe if I clicked on it it would go away. Instead, it took me away from my post and when I clicked back, more than half my replies were gone!
I have been spending half the day on and off replying to your thread. I had given up being able to do so from my computer, as we now have a sort of deadline to move out of our old place. I am not getting computer time, so I finally decided to try and reply from my phone. Luckily due to the DIS saving things I was able to complete my reply from the computer, but all my replies on the computer disappeared when I made the stupid move mentioned above. I opened your thread in a new browser and luckily everything I had typed was there! So I didn't have to go back and type it all again!
You mentioned that to another reader earlier in your posts and I'm glad I read that. I'm going to hit reply now, so that I don't lose anything else!
