Canadian Buffoon's Disney With a Teen Vacation - 08/13 - The Wrap

I just saw I missed your birthday!

7310.gif.cf.gif

Happy Birthday! It must be fun to have a birthday near Halloween.

Loved the update. You really got me with the Splash Mountain story up until the time Kay says she wants to get off to get food. Surely she would know by now that you can't just get off a ride half way through. Love the splash picture!!! That takes some skill, I can barely remember which side the camera is on and end up looking the other way. Good job with that!

Your pictures of an empty park are making me really jealous though.

I really wanted to try your version of Small World on my trip but somehow managed to skip the ride entirely. It's a must do for next time. Sounds like you had fun on it with Kay. I'm not going to pretend I know who Ghosttown is but I know Linkin Park and Three Days Grace. My husband calls Linkin Park the hard rock boy band. (Don't tell Kay). I like them though. I love your choice of The Who :) I can totally picture the scene with the soulless doll. Yes, I am completely in awe that you both survived that ride!!!!!:worship::worship::worship:

Which hitchhiking ghost did you get on haunted mansion? I love the one who pops your head off and switches it with the person beside you.

Have you ever seen enchanted tales with belle? It's kind of fun if you have the time. I like to go late at night so all the adults get the roles.

I never noticed the pants-less prince in BOG. Haa haa! Looks like you got a good table too. Was the cupcake the one with the "grey stuff" on it? I had that for a dinner dessert once.

YAY for riding the tea cups. I guessed correctly :) I hate that ride too but it's true that if you look at the middle and not outwards you don't quite feel as horrible afterwards. The baby picture of Kay is adorable. She was pretty brave to spin the cup with you threatening to barf on her!

LMAO at your retelling of the Little Mermaid!!! I'll never see that ride the same again.

 I've been told that I'm sneaky!

I put that to the test.
"Surely." I thought (and then thought, "Don't call me Shirley.") "This can't be true!"

So I looked... and sure enough!

You are so going to get bonus points for that.

Tomorrow has passed... do I deduct if you haven't?
I haven't scrolled down yet and don't remember....
Hmmm.... guess we'll see...

Haa haa you actually checked!! Luckily I have less than 300 posts over the last 8 years so hopefully it didn't take long. See, I wasn't lying.
I posted my reply and I'm only two days late. It's because a bunch of things came up on Friday and Saturday was halloween so it's not my fault! Please don't deduct points!!!!!

Looks like I'm late for a very important date! Hope it was Happy!

Nice of your friends to surprise you! Congrats on winning best costume!

:cool1: This is my "Say What?!' happy dance for doing good the last two rounds (yes I played the lottery like you told me too)
DISNEYMOON10121991 - no, PP, BTMRR, 7DMT, BOG, Teacups - 18 points (max points!)
DISNEYMOON10121991 – 55 points
I will enjoy this for the short moment it will last. Once again next round had me thinking for awhile.
Might go a little with the crowd because what I had in the back of my mind wouldn't need an ADR

here were a couple of events on this day.
Two to be precise, where things did not go so well.
I'm thinking OH Boy, here it comes...traveling with a teenager. This is what the title was all about.

Once again, loved your photography. The castle with reflection should be a postcard. Hey, that would I be a great screensaver?
I only hope we can get just something close to these. I need to practice on new camera we got for daughters HS graduation. I figure I have about a year to play with settings
After riding what is arguably one of the best rides in Disney,
I would never argue with you that this is the best ride. Because it's a great coaster!

I gotta say though, there are three things that turned out well here.
1. It made Kay happy again.
2. The food turned out to be pretty good, actually.
3. They are really,
really fast with their delivery time.
You had me going there. I'm thinking Bad Kay. Please don't let this happen! But the idea of you ordering and then going back to the hotel for delivery Chinese was putting you in the league of Dad of the Year.

Talk about doing anything to make a daughter happy! Then...ya got me good:rotfl2:
Kay had some Shi Jo King and I had the Hai Am Ki Ding
Yes, It took me reading this a second time to get it. I was wondering if you have different Chinese entrees in Canada:confused3

Both of you are just big jokers kidding around!
When we exited PP, Kay was looking forward to trying
something I'd suggested to her pre-trip.
See I was right. The whole IASW was your idea, no dragging you on that ride now.

I of course was in awe of your bravery through this. You deserve an award for such creativity and to have ridden this twice in one year is beyond words.
But I kept checking and lo and behold, one day a BOG spot opened up.
Just like before when you didn't think you could make a Disney trip work, you checked flights daily. I figure you would do the same with BOG.

So glad you got to do it again with Kay and the food looks yummy! Will definitely be trying this place out when we go : )
Kay quickly piped up in my ear, "Dad jokes for the dead."
I just about killed myself laughing.
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree
You'd be in the right place to find a home with your 'friends'
Dad, can we ride the tea cups?" She innocently asked.

You already know the outcome of this, right?
I'm such a sucker.
What other ride would someone need to be dragged on to! I would never call you a sucker. If I did, all parents would be ones too. It's called, giving in for peace and happiness

Quote me as saying AWWWW.....little Kay. Those two pictures are so sweet. Great idea.
Of course it's actually filled with 80 proof vodka...
This mermaid would go with rum or tequila thanks!

What a unique story line. Of course I've never been on this ride and now thanks to you, I may not have the innocent experience as the ride was meant to be.
I'm sure its not the first time you've been called a bad influence

Thanks again for a wonderful update.

I would just like you to know that once again multi-quote does not like me. I hope this comes out okay, since I had to scroll up, highlight & click reply, come back down and change text color, write comment and then repeat.
I'd say it was an hour long process:faint:
Now to my guesses:
closed ride-POTC
you ride Jungle Cruise
You do get a fast pass for Ariel (and get picture proof)
ADR for Tony's (I made last minute change)
3rd ADR is for Beaches and Cream (please don't let it be the other dessert I was thinking)
You do not see Wishes this day.

What day was your birthday? How old are you? Sounds like you had a good day.

We were at Cedar Point yesterday. Were there about six hours and only rode four rides: Gatekeeper, Millennium Force, Rougarou and Cedar downs. Was going to ride Gemini and maybe Top Thrill Dragster but both were closed. going We had lunch at Pink's and was not impressed. Then had a soft pretzel later. We had won free tickets so didn't feel the need to get our money's worth. Walked the whole park and my legs hurt really bad today.

Still need to catch up and will reply individually, but...
1. Thanks for the Birthday wishes!
2. Thanks for sharing your pumpkin photos!

Well, it's 9:30 here (Oh! Right! Clocks go back tonight!)
and Trick-or-Treating is done for another year.
Exactly 111 kids at the door.

Night all! Hopefully will start catching up soon. :goodvibes
oh man! happy birthday sounds like you had a great time.

Sorry for the long absence--I've been away on a business trip all week! Finally back to catch up.

Anywhere interesting?

 Will wonders never cease??

Stay tuned. She has a few more days of waking up at Disney ahead of her.

Make way for ducklings!

Yep. Pretty much.

Holy cow. This is really becoming a major horseshoe-up-the-butt trend of wait times. I'm finally reconsidering my original guess.

And yet you haven't changed it yet.
Who knows after the next update, maybe you will.
Maybe you won't.

"Wouldn't it be awesome if helicopters dropped bags of money down next to us right now?"

:confused3

Yeah, except she already gets stuff for free.
So it's not a high priority for her!

I need to write this down for my packing list.

Glad I could help.
To save room in your suitcase, pack socks around the device.

That's some top-flight high-tech gizmo they have there.

I really couldn't figure out what the heck was going on.
We may not be quite done with our tapstiles adventures.

Isn't that a wonderful feeling?

And yet... I'm kind of used to it since I usually go for rope drop.
I was really surprised to see this that late in the morning.

Better get on that!

It's on the list!

Which didn't help me remember it for the last two trips. :sad2:

Hey, I'm sorry, kid, but the world would not be the same without Dad jokes. Besides, we know that all of our material is actually hilarious, but as a teen you're not allowed to react accordingly. We get it.

::yes::

It is a schizophrenic ride. 10 minutes of happy woodland creatures singing and then they throw you off a cliff.

 Never really thought about it that way, but you're absolutely right!

 Thanks!

Stupendous! Absolutely stupendous. Truly, we have not seen a braver pair since Lewis & Clark set off to find passage to the Pacific.

That'll work.

:rotfl2::rotfl2: #Kidjoke for the win!

::yes:: :lmao:

Is that' the best place to sit? It looks like the coolest room. Also, congratulations for being the first DISer to get decent photos in there!:thumbsup2

It's (IMHO) the best place.
The ball room is huge and the other room not much smaller.
This one has the changing painting, the lightning and the
falling petals rose.

That looks great! I think I might need to order that--since the rest of the menu appears to be nothing but deli sandwiches.

It's tasty. Didn't really appeal to Kay, but for a quick service?
Not bad at all.

We Dads also are known for a singular focus, staying on task.

Yeah! In your face, Kay!

And we appreciate it. The resemblance is uncanny!

It's like we're twins! Except he got the looks in the family.

:sad2: Sadly, we dads are also secretly saps. Maybe not so secretly.

Yep.

Just.... yep.

Wow, nice before-and-after photos there!

Thanks! :)

My rule on visiting adults in costume is: only if my kids really want to and there's no wait whatsoever!

I never had any interest in doing it.
Until I started writing these things... and thought it'd be funny to include Tink
in the last TR.

:lmao::rotfl2: I like this version better.

There's another version? :confused3

:rolleyes1

Is he drunk too?

Good point! Never thought of that.
That could happen.

Standard for a Disney princess.

Pretty much.

How about this for a new storyline?

"Oh, hello woodland creatures." The princess coos. "I do so love to frolic with thee!"
"Good day, fair princess." The dashing young prince croons. "Come run away with me!"
"Back off creep! Who the #$^ do you think you're talking to?" She retorts.
"You come in here all high and mighty. I don't need you! I'm a liberated woman, bub!" She continues.

The Prince, properly chastened, slinks off and tumbles a scullery maid.
The Princess goes on to a very promising career in corporate law.

Hmmm.... Maybe that's not a good idea.
Then we'd have a bunch of little girls all wanting to become
corporate lawyers.
We got enough lawyers already.

Oh, man, this is so true. There's a reason my username is Captain Oblivious.

::yes::

It was called the Maelstrom.

And now it's gone.
Ah, well.

Pirates of the Caribbean.

Jungle Cruise.

No! Please say no! FP's are much too valuable to waste like that!

I'm gonna go with The Plaza, for more of a snack than a full meal.

Wow, you guys are doing quite a bit of eating here. O'hana? Kona Cafe? Grand Floridian Cafe? (Hey, it did say guesses.)

I think you stick with the MK resort area so that you do get to see Wishes.

Noted.

Yes!

Oh wait, that's not a question.

Hummmm…
Something to keep in mind.

But sometimes I award points for clever repartees that come later.

That wasn't one of them.

Now, if I were simply motivated by profit that would be a deterrent for carrying on the conversation beyond the initial response. But, being more sadistic than mercenary I do believe I’ll just keep on harassing you anyway.

Way more entertaining.

Good!

Wow…
Conceptually, that’s pretty much the old “If You Had Wings” attraction. One of the few things that didn’t require a ticket to ride way back on opening day in the MK. If they’d have used the suspended drive rather than their Omni-Mover design it would have been almost exactly what you described.

Huh! No way!
So either I'm brilliant, or....
I'm really good at Imagineering rides that have failed.

So be it...
August 23rd is now National Whack Kay with a Pillow Day
(Observed as a Canadian Holiday, of course).

I’ll mark my calendar and remind you about it next summer.

I appreciate that Clark.

Mmmmmmmm…
Brownies

OMG. I think the last time I saw anything from Barney Miller,
it was when it was on TV.
And not a re-run!

Yeah, well Vulcans can be tough to read at times.
You just never know whether they’re kidding of not.

Ah, yes. Vulcans. The merry tricksters of the Star Trek universe.

As would I, but it’s really just hidden in plain sight all around the parks.
I mean I recently heard tell of this one ride that's a bit of a cross between some old fairy-tale about a mermaid and this other old film called Days of Wine and Roses.

I guess we all just need to be a bit more observant.

See? Not so hard.

Really? Just that easy, you’re gonn’a accept the one I brought from Abby Someone…
Sure you don’t want to play a round of Charades first?

Shooo… that’s a relief.

Oh, sure. I'm an easy going kind of maniac.

I’ve probably got you beat.
Heck, I’m so dense that I have to keep moving just to prevent myself from sinking into the ground and toward the Earth’s core.

:lmao:

Okay! Good to know! I'll put it on my bucket list for next trip! ( whenever that may be!)

Hopefully sooner, rather than later.

HAHA! I've learned NEVER say you hate blonde jokes, because then, that's all you'll hear! :rolleyes1:lmao:

HOW are there 36 pages on this TR already?!?! Time to make a start, see you in a few months :rotfl: Just kidding, I'm going to binge on this all night :thumbsup2 EXCITED!

Nah. I don't think you.....

Whoops! Looks like you did!
Better start a new comment box here...

I hope you had a very :bday:

Ah man you really got me!!! I was getting all tense and worried that your whole trip was going to be ruined and then I see your Splash ride photo and burst out laughing!!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: That was a good one.... and quite the clever way to introduce it too. :thumbsup2

Great update! Sounds like you and Kay had such a fabulous day in MK. I am in awe that you braved the happiest cruise that ever sailed AGAIN!! :boat::boat::boat: And I love that you ended up having a great time on the Tea cups!

And since it's my favourite ride in all of Disney...

Since it's your favorite ride, I have to share our MNSSHP costumes from last month.....:hmghost:

Bonus questions, round 5!
What ride do we try to ride, but it's closed?
My guess is Pirates because it's closed for refurbishment

What ride do we go on instead?
Jungle Cruise.... lots of Dad jokes here

Do we get a FP for Ariel? Or not?
Yes, after using your 3rd FP+, you're able to grab a 4th to meet Ariel :thumbsup2

We do have another meal, you know.
It's in MK and it's an ADR.
And it's not BOG!
So, where is it?
My guess is Tony's Town Square

We have a third ADR for later in the evening.
It's not in MK, or any park, or in DTD.
Guesses?
You've already had breakfast, lunch, and dinner.... so you must be headed to Beaches and Cream for dessert!

Do we stay for Wishes? Or does our ADR prevent that?
Nope you don't stay for Wishes

Your updates always make my day, can't wait to read more!

Woooo!! I'm all caught up in one evening and I'm loving it!

Are you sure you're not hallucinating? Or popped a huge fever?
Even I can only take so much of me.

Also, I want you to know that Jamie has bullied me into watching a scary film called The Babadook right now, and my only condition was that I'm allowed to read pkondz's trip report for comfort while it's on :thumbsup2

Interesting.
And then you see a picture of me in some updates.

Which is scarier?

And it's worked a treat :goodvibes

OMG. I love that you used that expression.
I can only hear it in my head with a British accent, you know.

I even made him pause the film so I could read him your Splash Mountain story :rotfl: so so good :goodvibes

 Thanks!

Also, I'd like to point out that in terms of the contest I am at a slight disadvantage from falling behind. You see, the reason is that I've been busy finishing my degree, working and searching for degree-related jobs - just generally being an adult. Not, I repeat, NOT playing at Disneyland and Disney World, no sir. Ok ok, I lied, I've actually been doing all of these things. But I passed my master's degree with added merit, is that worth any bonus points?!?!?!!??! :thumbsup2

First. You passed your master's with added merit?
WAY TO GO!!!!! Congratulations on that! Wonderful!

So, yes. It is most definitely worth some bonus points.

And maybe a couple more bonus points for prioritising my adult responsibilities? (You can't blame me for trying, I need to catch up.)

We'll see...

Ok, prepare for an obnoxiously long comment

Oh, goody. Those are the best kind.

Woohoo! I was starting to worry that this entire TR was going to be about how you didn't end up going to Disney...

World's shortest TR.

Hi! My name is pkondz and I'm going to write a TR about my trip to Disney!
The day started off pretty early as we had a flight to catch.
But it didn't matter, because we were off to WDW!!!

We got dressed and threw our suitcases into the car and took off for the airport.
When we got there, we saw our flight was on time! Yay!
We checked in and got rid of our bags.
We went through security quite painlessly and presented ourselves to US customs.
Unfortunately, I didn't have a letter from Ruby saying Kay could go.
So we missed our flight, canceled the trip, recovered our bags and drove home.
Thanks for reading!

Of course I'm exaggerating.
If the guard had stood firm and not allowed Kay into the country,
I simply would've turned to her,
said "Sucks to be you! Bye!" and left her behind.

I mean... it's Disney after all!

So sweet!

Made all the deception and subterfuge worth it.

Ha, running away.. to Disney World.. SAVE THAT POOR INNOCENT CHILD.

:lmao: This literally made me lol. I even told this to Kay when I saw her next.

You mentioned that of your two daughters, Kay is the one to usually answer "no", but I guess that worked out in this situation :thumbsup2

No.

I mean yes! Yes it did!

This CRACKED. ME. UP.

:rotfl2:

Don't laugh. It will happen.

It. Will.

You got me again!

:rotfl:

Errrrm yeah, After our 8.5 hour flight, I don't pity you :sad2:

Oh, shush, you.

Love this. The airport gets me so excited for a trip. But not on the way home... When we got back to the UK from our recent trip we were watching the luggage go by and I said to Jamie, "This is the worst parade EVER." :sad2:

:rotfl:

Hmmmm... YOU. YOU had to go up and down the stairs?! (Bonus point?!)

Very good!

I know how you feel my friend, that humidity where you can't even breathe properly.. it's just craziness.

(Getting ready inside the hotel room...)
"Okay! Everybody ready! This is going to be great!
BTMRR! HM! Splash! Characters! Food! Sights! Sounds!...
Let's go!!!!!"
<opens door and takes one step outside... gasps...>

"Back! Back! Everybody back inside!"

You DIDN'T get a photo of you in a cot?!!! :sad2:

Uh, huh.
You show me a picture of you sleeping in bed and then I will.

No?

Thought so.

Of course the difference being you sleeping in bed = cute as a button.
Me sleeping in bed = a vision you can never, ever erase from your mind.

Oh... fine.
Here's me in the cot.
Don't say I didn't try to warn you...

Man_in_Bed_zps8dn0mir8.jpg

Hmmm some of my quotes seem to have disappeared...

I've lost the quote about the bus wait times... But I'll throw my answer in here..

I gueeeesssssss

70 minutes!!

Noted.

I've also lost the one asking the above questions... I was going to use my lateness to my advantage and give you all the answers once I'd read them. But now that's backfired I've decided to come clean about my intentions. It's good to be honest, right? Bonus point?!?!?!

Uh, huh.

Maybe.

9:30am!!!!

Dinosaur!!!!!

Mickey ice cream bar!!!!! :thumbsup2

:lmao:

Nailed it :thumbsup2

:rotfl:
You're killing me!

GREEN IS MY FAVOURITE COLOUR. (I'm not even lying.) Bonus point for a fellow green fan?!?!??!

Yes.

This is an incredible shot, I congratulate you.

Thanks! :goodvibes

Also, if the guy sat on the other side of Kay is on this Dis and happens to be reading this.. please make yourself known. For science. Thanks.

Funny you should say that because I thought the exact same thing.
"This guy has to be on the DIS."

I really like the food at Flame Tree BBQ, but I cannot forget about when we ate here in 2012 and someone CHANGED THEIR BABY ON THE TABLE NEXT TO US. While we were eating..... It was probably the grossest encounter of my entire life.

Ew.
You know... there are rooms for that. Really.
I've changed my share of dirty diapers... but never like that!

It's nice to see more of your face this time! And does anyone ever tell you that you and Kay look very alike! In a good way :thumbsup2 she's very pretty :goodvibes

You think so?
(the similarity part... not the pretty part.)

Yeah, I guess there is.

Lucky kid.

Hah! Same face!

::yes:: You noticed. We did that on purpose.

FROZEN GOAT!!!

 Bonus points!

:scared1: I love this little rest stop!! Do you remember where abouts it is? I think I know vaguely but I'm not too sure. I'll keep an eye out next time :goodvibes

When you go into the park and can go right or left around the Oasis?
If you go to the left, there's a pool for otters (and fish) on your right.
It's the same body of water.
Look to the right as you walk and look for stairs leading down under ground.

I'm so good at this :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

 You sure are!

Hollywood Studios!!!

50s Prime Time!!!

60s, Pool view, top (4th) flood!!!!!

 You have no idea how much I'm enjoying this.

... Dang, it seems like I'm lacking quotes from entire posts (F!)

Oooohhh.... good use of the F!

I'm obsessed with PB&J, I need one of those milkshakes... If I remember correctly, you can order those milkshakes at the bar area, and don't need an ADR, right?!

Oh, I'm so sorry, but I don't really know!
Maybe someone else does?
According to Google you can, though.

The food at 50s looks delish, particularly the pot roast. IT MADE ME SALIVATE.

Did it now? Well I'll be...

This picture is amazing! BRAVO.

DSC09447_zps01uozjtj.jpg

Thanks, Katie! :goodvibes

No to rope drop!!!

FP @ Thunder Mountain, Peter Pan, 7DMT!!!

ADR @ Be Our Guest!!!

Mad Tea Party / Tea Cups!!!!!!

 Still making me smile! :)

Not, "don't buy the sewing kit in the first place" :rotfl2:

 Well, it would be useful if you needed, say, needle and thread.
You'd have to bite the thread, though.

"Some performers" :sad2: I LOOOOOOOOVE THEM!!!!!

Whoops! Hit a nerve there, did I?

For this photo I imagine you roped everyone off behind you so that you could take it :rotfl: how did you find so much empty space?!

Oh, it's really quite simple. I just had Kay run back and forth behind me,
screaming at the top of her lungs. "BACK! GET BACK! NOBODY COME NEAR! BACK!"
Worked like a charm.
Just hire a teen for a few minutes.

IT IS DEFINITELY ONE OF THE BEST RIDES AT DISNEY.

Of course it is. ::yes::

You TOTALLY had me at this story! I was like, HOW COULD SHE BE SO BORED ON SPLASH !?!!

 Gotcha!

I'm pretty sure this was the greatest twist I've ever read about :rotfl2: I laughed hard!
Like I said, I made Jamie pause our film so that I could read it to him and show him the photo :goodvibes Too funny!!

Glad you got such a kick out of it!
Mission accomplished!

I'M IN AWE! SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH AWE! MORE AWE THAN I HAVE EVER BEEN IN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE.

Awe, shucks. T'wern't nuttin'.

Cool! Did you find it ok eating in there? I've eaten in the ballroom and the gallery, but although I love the west wing, I feel like I wont be able to see what I'm eating...?

Oh, no problem at all.
It's dark compared to the ball room, but not so dark that you can't see.
We had no problem whatsoever.

Looks delicious. I'm ashamed to say that I've never been able to order anything other that the turkey sandwich at BOG. Jamie loves it too, we both order it every time * drool *

I like it a lot. Kay was so-so on it. A bit too rich for her.

Of course! You did well to get a photo of it, we ate there three times this year and every time there was literally a line of people waiting to get their photos taken with this!?!

Oh? I've been twice and not had a problem.
Not really sure what the big deal is...
Maybe it'll become a must do, like the foot shot on WEDway.

I'm loving these recreated shots! I bet Ruby loved them :goodvibes

Thanks! And... yes!

Bahaha, you want to talk about a face of wedding day apprehension and doubt covered by a fake smile??!! It's funny that you attributed that to Eric, when we laughed about the EXACT same thing, but from Ariel's side!!

 She does look like she's saying:
"OMG! What did I just do! Just keep smiling! Yes! Yes! Look at me! I'm so happy! Yup!"

Ok, now I can take wild guesses just like everybody else

Hmmmm.

I'd say pirates was closed, because I know that it has been closed.. But I also think that you would've known it was closed... So I don't think you tried to ride it..

So I'll go with Space Mountain being closed, and you rode the People Mover instead...

I think you DID get a FP for Ariel.

3 ADRs in one day?! Hmmm I'll guess the Plaza at MK..

Then the later evening one outside of the parks, I'll guess an ADR at Beaches and Cream for ice cream?!

Noted. We'll see how well you do without already knowing the answers.

Can't wait for more! :goodvibes

So happy you're here now! :goodvibes

I am alive!! I think....:scratchin

I think you're alive, therefore you are.

Descartes.

I came back and then I disappeared again! But I'm going to try and keep up (maybe...)
Ah man! I've never been good at gymnastics! See?

127_rolling_cat_gifs.gif

Does that count? :rotfl:

But darn I forgot my skirt! :rolleyes1 (If your mind went there that is not my fault! :rotfl:)

Well, actually, first I laughed at the cat.
But then I became very, very sad.... no skirt.

I'm away for a while and this TR went into the gutter!

What do you mean, "went".
That would imply that it wasn't before?

No one wants any of that! :scared1:

tumblr_m76am61U6O1ranpr7o1_250.gif

This shocks me.
Kristen Stewart cracked a smile! She now is up to two expressions!
Well, still one if you only count when she's acting.

My mind went there! ::yes:: And it was not pretty :sad2: :rotfl:

And I'm so surprised by that!
Said no one. Ever.

Ducks be all like:

image.jpg

Well I for one would much prefer the presence of nunchucks and thermonuclear devices rather than self stickers. Those things are the work of the devil.

::yes::

Ha! Not winners like me! All those other losers counting "points" when really the real winners are already on top...on the bottom...hmmm this went downhill quickly...

But of course it did. I expect no less from you.

That's why I love you, you know.

That's what she said.

Oh, man.

That's what she said. Admit it, you missed me.

Oh, Man!!

Yes! Yes I missed you! Terribly!
Promise you'll never leave again.

Too needy?

Okay you had me going there. I was like how can Kay not love Splash?!?!?!? :rotfl::rotfl:

Gotcha!

So sweet! Isn't it crazy how fast time goes?

:sad2: You have no idea.

Now this is my kind of story!

Pft! What a lightweight!

Well she probably only weighs 70lbs/30kg soaking wet.

Woohoo! Still winning!!

Hey don't argue with me!

But seriously

Sounds like you had a great day!

Thank you! I did!

Happy Birthday and Trick or Treat! Here's a picture of our kids' pumpkins (minus the baby).

They did those? Those are great!
And thanks for the Birthday and Halloween wishes! :)

My oldest son designed the house all by himself. I thought he did a great job. Enjoy your night!

He did! Especially for designing it by himself!

Just want to say :bday:

Thank you!

Will be responding to latest update this weekend.

I'll check in at midnight Sunday...

That was really nice of your friends to do that. :cake: See non-Disney people think you're awesome too

Awww, geez. Now you're going to get me all in the feels too!

Best Wishes for the rest of your night:-)

Thanks! :)

Here's my pumpkin. It took over an hour to carve- I call it "Underemployed and hopped up on Starburst."

:lmao: But you certainly did a great job with it!

Happy Birthday Ponzi! And yes, I am still around and reading and loving your reports :)

Thanks Marita!
So nice to see you again! Thanks for dropping by!

Happy birthday to you!

Thanks Alison! :)

So nice of your friends to hook you up like that!

It really was nice. I'm not lying when I said I was overwhelmed.

We had some trick or treaters too. Didn't count how many but more than at the other house and better costumes and more polite kids. I think it comes with the better neighborhood.

Nice! Ballpark how many? 10? 50? 100? More?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!!!!!

:yay::dogdance::cool1::cheer2::banana::jumping1::dancer:party::dance3:

Hope you had a great day!!!!!

Thanks Katie! :) I did!

Going to guess you try to ride the carousel of progress, but end up on Buzz's Space Ranger Spin.
FP for Ariel should be available, so I'm going to say you got one.
I'm going to stick with the Plaza for your second ADR cause I guessed it last time and if I keep guessing it maybe I'll get it right.
Third ADR is for Ohana, which then allows you to stay and watch Wishes from the dining room.

Noted.

They did those? Those are great!
And thanks for the Birthday and Halloween wishes! :)
By meaning, the kids did those by choosing the stencil from the Internet and watching Mom and Dad take four hours to carve them, then they sure did. I do have to give them credit though because they did scoop out the seeds and slime.

He did! Especially for designing it by himself!
I'll let him know. He was so proud.

Happy Birthday! It must be fun to have a birthday near Halloween.

Thanks! :)

I love having it close to Halloween.
When I was a kid it was awesome.
One day it was cake and presents, the next day was Trick or Treating
It felt like a wonderful two day celebration.

Loved the update.

Thanks!

You really got me with the Splash Mountain story up until the time Kay says she wants to get off to get food. Surely she would know by now that you can't just get off a ride half way through.

 But I had you going!

Love the splash picture!!! That takes some skill, I can barely remember which side the camera is on and end up looking the other way. Good job with that!

Thanks! It was a lot of fun planning/doing it!

Your pictures of an empty park are making me really jealous though.

It didn't stay that way for long, though.
Besides, I think everyone was standing in line for rides.

I really wanted to try your version of Small World on my trip but somehow managed to skip the ride entirely. It's a must do for next time. Sounds like you had fun on it with Kay. I'm not going to pretend I know who Ghosttown is but I know Linkin Park and Three Days Grace.

I don't really know who Ghosttown is either.
But I know Kay likes them.

My husband calls Linkin Park the hard rock boy band.

Ha!

(Don't tell Kay).

I won't, but...

I like them though.

... I'll tell her that.

I love your choice of The Who :) I can totally picture the scene with the soulless doll.

::yes::

Yes, I am completely in awe that you both survived that ride!!!!!:worship::worship::worship:

But of course you are.

Which hitchhiking ghost did you get on haunted mansion? I love the one who pops your head off and switches it with the person beside you.

Oh, shoot! Totally forgot to mention that!
We got the head switcher too!
And it freaked Kay out!
She was like "Noooo!!!!!"

Have you ever seen enchanted tales with belle? It's kind of fun if you have the time. I like to go late at night so all the adults get the roles.

I did! On my solo trip.
While I wouldn't make it a must do again, I'm really glad I went.
The mirror was cool and the animatronic Wardrobe and (especially) Lumiere were great!

I never noticed the pants-less prince in BOG. Haa haa! Looks like you got a good table too. Was the cupcake the one with the "grey stuff" on it? I had that for a dinner dessert once.

It was the "Master's cupcake" which has the grey stuff on it.
We both liked it.

YAY for riding the tea cups. I guessed correctly :)

Yep!

I hate that ride too but it's true that if you look at the middle and not outwards you don't quite feel as horrible afterwards.

Ah! So a. she was right and b. that explains it!

The baby picture of Kay is adorable. She was pretty brave to spin the cup with you threatening to barf on her!

 Made it worthwhile.

LMAO at your retelling of the Little Mermaid!!! I'll never see that ride the same again.

"retelling" You mean there's another version?

:rolleyes1

Happy Birthday!!
Just a tiny bit late

giphy.gif

Thanks Kelly! :)

Hope it was awesome, just like you :teeth:

Awww... shucks. That's really nice of you to say!

Haa haa you actually checked!!

I did!

Luckily I have less than 300 posts over the last 8 years so hopefully it didn't take long. See, I wasn't lying.

Nope. You were telling the truth.
I'm impressed.

I posted my reply and I'm only two days late. It's because a bunch of things came up on Friday and Saturday was halloween so it's not my fault! Please don't deduct points!!!!!

I would never deduct for that!
I totally get that there's life outside the DIS!

Heck, that's why I'm behind in my shout-outs!

Looks like I'm late for a very important date! Hope it was Happy!

It was! Thanks Tammie! :)

Nice of your friends to surprise you!

It really was! And totally unexpected!

Congrats on winning best costume!

Thanks!
And it's almost ridiculous considering I wasn't even going to wear a costume!
