I'm no expert, but I think the start is a good place most times.Port Land
It's one of those updates.
I have no idea where to begin
Wait...if that were true, we'd have nothing to reply to, so obviously....liar!or what to say.
You sit on a throne of lies!I did a grand total of two things.
All day.
I saw one thing.
I ate at one place.
See??And both of those statements
aren't even accurate.
I presume you woke up, brushed your teeth, shaved, packed, avoided road objects, passed someone on the right and any other number of things.I had some breakfast at the hotel,
I presume.
I am positive I ate at two other
places... but only took a photo from one.
I also drove, so that's something,
although not as much as the last couple days.
You keep using that phrase....I do not think it means what you think it means.I still don't know where to begin, though.
See??Except it looks like I already did.
So that's a relief at least.
Told you.I got up at some point.
I know this. Because I'm awake
right now. Ergo, I woke.
Okay, maybe you're finally starting to tell the truth, but given the track record thus far, I'm not conviced yet.I really only had two things on
the agenda for today.
One tourist spot in Portland to hit
before making my way up to
Seattle for the PNWMM.
(Pacific Northwest Mouse Meet)
Confucius bunny say Marvin who fart in church sit in own pew. Does he have symbols burned onto his wrists? Maybe grasshopper bunny?First... time for a random picture.

I don't know much about
this baby rabbit.
But two things are obvious.
This baby rabbit must be
filled with wisdom...
And obviously a Kung Fu expert.
How could it not be?
No way!!!! I'm flabbergasted! Wait, is that the same not at all surprised?I went to Portland's
Japanese Garden.
Come on Ponzie, not another one! Oh wait, I've heard that before. Sounds familiar too. And maybe deja vu. Redundancy is good?I know! I know!
"Oh come on Ponzie!
Not another one!"
We know how much you lie, so pardon me if I don't believe you.Yeah, Yeah... I know.
Last one.
I promise, okay?
Did you stay at a Holiday Inn express last night?Along the way I saw these...
Flowery type things.
(Actually, no. I'm not a botanist.
But I could play one in a movie.)
Love this picture with the bees.
Wow, you really porked out at the buffet, eh?I got to the ticket kiosk
and paid for my two tickets.
Oh, never mind.Two? You ask.
Yes. I needed one for moi.
And one for my camera tripod.
Okay, that's bizarre.I kid you not.
They gave me a tag
to affix to the tripod.
Okay, we'll go with that. After some thought,
I actually didn't mind that much.
It prevents the park from being
cluttered with people using them
I suppose.
If you really want to use one...
then you're willing to pay for
the privilege?
Let's go with that.
So...photoshopped? Say it isn't so. Good picture. There have been times where I wish people weren't in the picture. Might need to remember this idea.
While I confess, I'm not a Japanese garden aficionado, I think of all of them you showed us, this one would be great...the variety of scenery and foliage makes it better (at least to me). There was a path that zigzagged
up from that point to the building
that you can just make out
through the trees at the top of
the hill, in the above photo.
Those look dangerous. I vote lawsuit.
Really like the fall colors!!!And the colours of some of the
trees were stunning.

It's just the cold that causes it I don't care for.
Did Marvin Sashay also...looks like he's just standing there.I sashayed along the path
to the back of the tea house.
Surprised there wasn't more photoshop magic.I give you... the view:

(Yes... marred by the tall buildings,
but still pretty remarkable, nevertheless.)
Huh? Did you say something? But did you listen?
Noooooo!!!
Ruh roh George. It was about this time,
that I noticed I'd lost
my tripod tag.
Please leave the constipated looking Canadian guy alone??I was assured that if they found it,
they'd return it to me, but in the meantime
my description had been passed to the others.
I never did get my tag back,
but I wasn't bothered again either.
Almost as bizarre as needing the tag to begin with. I guess if it's really busy, they don't want a ton of tripods taking up space and preventing people from moving about.
Nice! Not that the others weren't great, but I really like this one.
I can see why.All in all...
This garden was amazing.
I definitely need to come
back again some time.
