Kinda ironic...you become an AP holder right before you go to the dark side.

I know because I just spoke to him the other day, but not saying, because its not my place to do so and don't want to.spoil his news.
When are you going back?
I'm home. I'm tired.
But had a great time.

Poop... you know how it goes.

(sorry about the quality. took it through the window.)
Well because it's a
saline endorheic alkali
lake, of course!
Maybe these were something else.
A botanist, I am not.
I had finally got myself all
ready for the evening
and thought, since there was
a fire pit and wood available,
that I would relax with a nice
campfire.
Yikes! And you had JUST been sleeping in a flimsy little tent with this guy running around![]()
StunningI am assuming you had your trip-pod and that's how you got such amazing pictures?
Makes perfect sense![]()
Cool! I bet it's a pretty sight to see in the summer!
They kind of look like grapes? And you're at a winery, so…..
So rude!
Aw, bummer! But you know, Only YOU can prevent forest fires(Remember all the Smokey The Bear commercials?)
Safe travels!
Ick! It was here in NY all weekend...![]()
Ooooh, the suspense!
Hmmm... I'll probably stick with the latter![]()
Can't wait to hear all about your trip!!!![]()
As others have said, BEAUTIFUL photos! What amazing scenery!
Mmmmmm…. wine and gelato. Yum.![]()
That's too bad about the campfire! Although I don't love that sitting in front of a campfire causes you to smell like a campfire, it is quite relaxing. At least you got to enjoy it for a little while!
Thanks, Vanessa!Have a great & interesting trip!
Well this post did not age well![]()

I have never seen a coyote.
They are not native to Newfoundland but around 10 years ago a hunter shot one, which caused a bit of a stir. They figured a couple came across on ice from the mainland. Their population has grown since and they are now being spotted in urban areas. One was seen just a couple streets over from mine last month. They make me a bit nervous, but it’s a new animal to us.
I would say worth it. Lovely falls. Tough to see the backside of water on that one.
The scientist in me finds this interesting. The tourist in me disagrees. At least you didn’t go too far out of your way just for that.
Definitely not blueberries. Maybe some kind of currant?
I pick blueberries every summer. They are lower to the ground (my back can attest to that) and are spread out more in clusters of 4-5 berries.
Gelato is awesome. I love the different flavours.
I find a campfire to be incredibly relaxing. But fire bans seem to happen more frequently lately. Yes, we do get bans here in the summer, despite it being a bit cooler and generally more rain than out West.
Thanks!Have fun storming the castle!
