My DW is iloveeeyore and is allowing me to post this question.

The lyrics to the "Canada" song which accompanies the travellogue at Epcot are in contention. Both my DW and I know that the chorus is "Canada, my Canada" (in English and French), but what are the next words?

Are they:

1.) "You're the best country on the planet Earth."
2.) "You're the best country on the planet-a"
3.) something completely different.

Tks in advance to those more knowledgeable in this arena.

:music:

THe lyrics of the chours are (and I am assuming the French is merely a direct translation since I don't speak it):

Canada, my Canada
You're a lifetime journey for the traveler
Canada, my Canada
Your a lifeline of wonder on this planet Earth.

:rolleyes1

The first time they sing it, it's
"You're a lifetime journey for the traveler."

Later when they sing it, it's
"You're a lifeline of wonder on this planet earth."

There's a link to the song on this site.

My high school French is still good enough that it sounds to me like the first time is a pretty direct translation. I can't get all the French words for the second one, but I think the idea is the same. (It seems to be something more like the "true-est miracle on the land", so it may be that the English doesn't translate exactly).
