Canada Le Cellier, WHAT is the Big Deal?

I agree with the original poster. We dined there in Feb. 08 and were very disappointed. The place is small, dark and crowded. We barely had enough room to back out of our table without hitting another chair. Our waiter was slow and it took a loooong time to get our food. Food wasn't all that either. I also would not pay OOP prices for that food. It just isn't worth. Oh and BTW, it was value season when we were there. So it wasn't the busiest time. I can't imagine how slow they would be then. LOL!

We ate there two years ago and I have to agree with the OP. It was OK, but definitely not worth raving about. My dd's food was overcooked (of course the burnt side was put on the plate, I guess they thought we wouldn't notice?) I had the filet, which was good but paled in comparison to my favorite place to eat filet (Prime Only on the OBX). I liked the cheese soup and the pretzel bread (dh did not).

I was going to try to go back in Sept. and give them another shot, but since it was booked pretty solid we will be going to Coral Reef and Tutto instead. I don't think anyone in our party will be heartbroken about missing LC this trip.
