Canada Day, party time?

No, not political parties, not this time anyway!

Whether you're planning on raising a glass (or two!) in celebration, or crying in your brown pop, what do you have planned for Canada Day?

Do you have Thursday off, or Friday, or maybe both?

MY DH (and company) had planned to take Friday off instead of Thursday, but due to scheduling problems, nothing has been resolved yet!

What's up for the holiday?

No definite plans, just to spend it with the kids. Hubby is working!

I get Friday's off in the summer months from my job! I'm so looking forward to those days off!!!

I have both Thursday and Friday off! We'll be having a BBQ party in our backyard... my dad wants to try out his new BBQ.

Since I'm self-employed and work at home, I don't even really have Thursday off! I'm betting I get work-related calls and/or emails that day.

However we are doing the backyard BBQ party with friends.

Then all of us are back at work on Friday!

DH and I are heading to the new Niagara Casino to see Howie Mandell on Canada Day and then on the US 4th of July DB,DSIL,DH and myself are off to the Casino again to see Creedence Cleerwater Revival! ...and maybe "donate" a little!

I'll be working Thursday, half day now! Friday off! Tanya and I are off to see "Hairspray" for a Saturday Matinee. Dinner at a Steakhouse and then spending the night at the Royal York Fairmont!

If only I had known that we were gonna get so much time off I would have gone to visit Uncle Mickey!

Both dh and I have Thurs and Fri off.... we are doing the backyard BBQ tomorrow, Wonderland Friday, going for a picnic at one of the halton conservation area's Saturday and Sunday will be our day to relax!!

Making it a 4-day weekend here (off Thursday, vacation day Friday).

I have to pick up my DD in Hamilton on Thursday morning. After that, we'll probably go to the Shrine Circus at Square One and fireworks in Streetsville in the evening.

I have Thurs off, but have to work on Fri. DH is working tonight (Wed) all night, and will have Thurs night off instead. We're having our neighbours over for a BBQ on Thurs -- they are moving to Burford on Sat and we're going to miss them very much The neighbourhood always has some great fireworks at the Optimist centre so we'll head down there after. We usually have to forego them because usually DH is headed to work about the time that they start. Too bad I still have to get up for work the next day ... guess I should have thought about that sooner and requested the day off before everyone else in the office did!

Sounds like a good plan, Susan, especially the practising part....lol.

Wow, I think everyone, all across the country, will be lighting up those bbqs!!

HAPPY CANADA DAY EVERYONE!

I'll be packing along with Susan today, for our trip next week!

DH is working today and has tomorrow off but has a golf match in the afternoon. I'll probably just putter around getting things in order for when I'll be away. Yes, will definitely be firing up the BBQ a few times over the weekend!
