can you wear crocs in the rain?

I fell 3 times at disney in my crocs (all at epcot) we liked to go there in the rain, but the surface was very slippery

my dh fell once and 1 near miss

my 2 kids that have crocs never fell, but did say they were slippery

my and dh and I have had ours a lot longer and the tread is hardly there. guess it's time for a new pair :rotfl2:

i have yet to wear my crocs to WDW yet. i have on the other hand been wearing the same pair now for 1 year (i'll have new ones by my WDW trip) i have worn them at kings island(we start at the water park for 2-4 hrs) and wore them 1 day at cedar point(it was in the 50's all but 1 day) i wear my same crocs to baseball games and to go shopping(not a spree) and have yet to see them get slippery when it was wet. but now that the tread is all but gone it might get that way now if wet on tile. i'm used to snow and ice so you get used to walking carefully.

Slipped twice in my Niles at Epcot. I no longer wear them to the parks. Haven't had a problem with my scutes.

All three of my kids wore their crocs for the whole thirteen day trip this summer. They worked great in the rain except for one place. My daughter and I were using our fast passes for space mountain right after a heavy rain. The fast pass line was very wet from the people who had trekked in before us. My poor daughter fell hard and if I wouldn't have grabbed her she would have hit her head. She was so embarrassed because she kept trying to stand up and kept falling down again. I had to hold onto her for the rest of the line and she fell two more times.

No, no socks. I saw them when they first became a trend (Spring 2004 in Boulder CO) and I have seen people wear socks with them, but not often, and certainly not in the summer. That's one of the best parts about them!

I wear mine in the summer with socks. I hate how they feel without them. With socks they are the most comfortable things I have ever put on my feet, and I have worn them for two 8-day trips to Disney World without so much as a hot spot, let alone any blisters! With tennis shoes (good ones, Nikes, Reeboks, etc) I get blisters so bad before the end of the first day I can barely walk. I don't really care how they look with socks as long as I can walk without extreme pain.

My family and I say people who wear socks and crocs are wearing scrocs. It is not how we prefer to wear them, but to each their own.

I just wore my croc sandals at a amusement park that had a number of water rides. I was the only one in my group not slipping off their sandals, and my crocs dried quicker than their flip flops did. I did not have any problems with slipping. As far as comfort and sore feet, I think I will end up changing shoes part way through the day if we are walking all day. :)

I have tried wearing them this summer (getting ready for September's trip) without socks and they irritate my feet, sadly. I thought they'd be cooler without socks. DH wears his without socks no problem. I thought it was just the Beaches that would irritate, so I have tried Cleos, Scutes, and Niles. It may be a problem of fit...I really need a half size. A 7 in the Cleos and Niles is too small, and an 8 is too big (and my feet end up poking out the front of the shoe after walking a short time! I envision scraped toes, ouch!)

The Scutes are the only ones that I will probably take to WDW with me (and of course not wear socks with!) But the Beaches (Mickey and Kansas Jayhawk crocs) are gonna be worn with socks, the short ones, they don't show much, but I don't care much if they do as long as my feet are happy! :goodvibes

I wish I could just get new feet. That'd be the best thing! :thumbsup2

Ive worn them with and without socks. I find them comfier with but i wear the little sockettes meant to be worn with dolly shoes so they arent noticeable.
