Can you walk through the castle after Rope Drop?

My game plan for next Tuesday is to go to Peter Pan right after rope drop (or whatever you want to call the castle welcome show that pales in comparison to the awesomeness that was the welcome show at the train station) by heading through the castle. That seems like the fastest route.

So can you walk through the castle at that time? Do you agree that’s the fastest route to Peter Pan?

I haven't seen the new show yet (train show was the greatest) but I'm assuming if they are using the stage in front of the castle that the doors would remain closed and ropes up for a bit after the show. Best bet would probably still be going around the Castle instead of waiting for that. And if you aren't watching the pre-show, going around and waiting at the ropes.

I think easywdw.com has the walk through the castle as one way to get to PP. You may want to take a look at his cheat sheet.

There is no "going around" the castle before rope drop unless you have a PPO at BoG.

Ah good to know. I thought maybe there was a 'staging' / waiting area to the side of the Castle in the direction of the tea cups. Good info thanks!

Yes they will hold people at the ropes on either side of the castle. For PP you would want to be on the Liberty Square side of things, not the Teacups side, which is for 7DMT. I am unsure if you can still go through the castle immediately after the "show" that they do.

Three Routes to Peter Pan.
Things are not always done the same way every day.
You must choose your route on the day-of, based on conditions that day.
The shortest route would be through the castle.
It usually IS open, but its not always open.

If the "through the castle route" (green) is closed, choose whichever of the others you prefer.
"West of the castle" path (blue) may be a bit shorter than the Liberty Square (orange) route,
but how the CMs open the ropes may affect which way you can go the earliest.

BTW, the Orange-colored path allows guests with strollers to drop them off before heading
to the ride.
