Can you walk from the Polynesian to MK?

I'm actually asking this for my sister, who is claustrophobic and doesn't like buses, monorails etc and would rather walk. I thought I remember reading that you can walk to the Polynesian from MK. Am I correct? Linda

there is a boat ride from POLY to MK, but you can't walk.

you may want to try Contemporary or Bay Lake Tour, as they are only a walk away from the MK

No, you cannot walk to the MK from the Polynesian. The only resort with a pathway to the MK is the Contemporary.

The Contemporary/Bay Lake Tower are the only resorts where you can walk to the Magic Kingdom.

The Polynesian only has walkways that go to the Grand Floridian and their other one goes to the Transportation & Ticket Center.

You may have read that you can walk from the Poly to the Ticket & Transportation Ctr. The walk from the Contemporary to the MK is great.

Thanks for all the quick responses. She is visiting the Polynesian with her family from the MK to go to Ohana's. Perhaps she can take the boat over, don't know if that bothers her. Thanks again, Linda

The boat is VERY open and she may find it ok if it's not too crowded.

Everytime we stay at the Poly, my husb comments that he doesn't understand why they don't complete the walkway from the MK to GF. The walkway actually goes a good distance from the MK toward the GF and then it just stops when it gets to the lagoon passage. We always wish they would build an elevated walkway over the passage way. It would enable the boats and EWP vessels to get through and also give resort guests at the Poly and GF another transportation option. That especially would be nice at night when the huge crowds exit the parks and everyone is trying to get on the monorail or ferry. I think it would be another draw for the MK resorts too. And how pretty it would look at night with everything around the lagoon lit up... the MK, the Poly, the ferry dock, the CR and views of the MK and Cinderella's Castle!

I don't remember why but I think there is a reason why the walkway from the Grand Floridian to the Magic Kingdom was never finished like the one from the Contemporary.
