Can you walk from DTD Hotels to Any Outlet Stores?

I won't have a car for my next trip, but have always wanted to go to one of the outlet malls or really, I should say an outlet store that sells Disney merchandise. Are there any close enough to walk to from the DTD hotels?

It's probably anywhere from one and a half to two and half miles, depending on the hotel....guess it's up to you

I agree, it's probably a couple of miles, depending on the resort. There are sidewalks along 535, but you will also need to cross under I4. Once you are past I4, it is still a ways North to get to the outlet center with the Disney merchandise.

I'd recommend taking a cab over walking. SR 535 can be quite a busy road. The front desk or bell service at your hotel should be able to call a taxi for you.

Here's my best resort! Use public transportation LYNX. How to use it? From your Disney resort, you may take the Disney bus that runs into the Magic Kingdom's Transportation and Ticket Center AKA "Monorail". Once there, take Route/Link #50. Then transfer into the Sea World stop, to Route/Link #8. You can go to the Prime/Belz Factory Outlets on International Drive or the Premiun Outlet Mall on Vineland Road. Other option is to ride Route/Link #56 that goes to US Highway 192 and has access to the Old Town area with some Disney factory Outlets. Cost for the bus trip is $1.50 and the transfer is free. You need to request it to the bus driver when paying the fare. I prefer that, to the Taxi's highly cost. (About $25+) But since it is Public Mass Transportation, a little wait of 30 minutes for the bus may happen. Hope this help you out!
