Can you walk from AKL to AK?

Not planning to stay at the AKL, but would like to visit it and have dinner after our day at AK. Is it possible to walk between the two, they seem so close.

Even though they are pretty close by bus or car, the walk would be too far. Also, I don't think anyone is allowed to walk on the roads there, as there are no sidewalks.

There are no walkways connecting the two.....but there is a bus that all it does is the loop between AKingdom and AKLodge!
Its farther than you think!

I have a funny story about this.

We stayed a tthe AKL the first week of December. My DH ran the WDW Marathon in January, so he was definitely in training when we were there in December.

The first morning he gets up at his normal 4:00am (I know, but what do you want from someone who thinks it's fun to run 26.2 miles!!) and goes out to run ten miles. He's running down the road, and the Mickey cops pull up and order him in the security van. They tell him he can't run there, and there's no running trail at the AKL. THey tell him he'll have to run in the parking lot. He wasn't pleased.

He spoke to someone about this, and they told him that there are plans to put in a walkway between AKL and the AK, and this will also serve as a jogging path. Great. until you think baout how long it took them to add the walkway between BW and MGM...

As ducklite says there are rumors as to a walkway, but I talked to numerous CM's at AK & AKL (some high ups) and they say no plans are in the works...So basically, who knows what lies ahead!
